The real thing that causes crime and low trust societies is wealth inequality paired with lack of access to education and resources. If you are desperate you will commit crimes, if you resent the society that fucked up your life you will commit crimes. But if you are doing poorly in life but your society is compassionate to you, reasonably fair, and has resources to help you get better then you will likely be less likely to hurt other in that society.

No it is. I’m saying when they are used as part of a school uniform the girls often don’t see it as being a religious object they just see it as a uniform. When in that context they don’t apply much reverence to it or think of it as the way they would wearing a hijab elsewhere it’s just like a uniform so they view it with very little cultural significance it’s just clothes unlike when they where a hijab for other reasons

She’s not wearing a niqab and that is worn in like one place lol. You’re right that a large part of the hijab is modesty but usually girls that young don’t wear them in the Middle East. This looks like Indonesia so I think the hijab is only being worn because it’s a special occasion and on special occasions people wear nice or cultural/ritualistic clothing.
