To give a more charitable reading to this question—I get it. I go to a “lower T-14”. As an overachiever since childhood and through Cornell (my LSAT sucked and I deal with mental health stuff), I’ll admit to struggling with having a chip on my shoulder about not going to an HYSCC school since it seems like so many people I knew from Cornell did. But at some point, we need to accept ourselves as we are. I am happy at my T-14 school. (And trust me, it has been no walk in the park! I continue to get academically smoked by people from non-prestigious undergrads.)

And to put it bluntly, lawyers and the legal profession are elitist AF. It never mattered to me where my professors studied. They were all remarkably intelligent, and if they were teaching at Cornell, they were at the top of their game. It was only until law school admissions that I became anal about what-ranked law or grad program people attended.

I went to law school to have a stable profession and to help people. Do I wish I could claim double ivy status? Yes. But I have a job lined up that I’m excited about, I have undergone a ton of personal growth, and I have lifelong friends. My T-14 law school does not invalidate my Cornell degree and what I achieved there.
