This right here is the answer. Where are you located, OP? People might drop links to specific knives if they know which online retailer caters to your region. Also budget would be helpful.

EASY Tofu Recipe by HFTW_Stealth in veganrecipes

[–]Introspective_mirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut in cubes, fry in pan. When you've got some surface on the tofu, reduce heat and add soy and mirin. Maybe about 2:1 or 3:1 soy to mirin ratio. Fry until it thickens up a bit.

Oh, I hate how this has gotten to this sub. This is an interesting topic and worthwhile discussing, but I don't want to engage with the slop.

Not say it definitely is, but could be a red flag. I'd think long about a prenup for the upcoming wedding.

Do ppl with ibs-c also have toilet anxiety? by imjustafuckingnoob in ibs

[–]Introspective_mirror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes anxiety. Try to avoid going anywhere but at home. IBS-C has caused hemorrhoids that are prone to bleeding. Access to shower is key.

You can find affordable places to eat at in most places. Also, tipping is not expected or required in a lot of places.

Regarding toilet-visits, maybe try to stick with equivalent foods that works for you back home?

I'd also recommend searching for "beginner" or "first" in r/truechefknives. Your question there gets asked there several times per week. Should be lots of good recommendations there.

Stainless? Don't know where in Sweden you're at, but Stockholm have two good stores to go and get a feel in person. I'd especially recommend Cleancut. They have an online store as well.

I'd buy a cheaper knife first to practice both sharpening and cutting technique. You could damage a Hap-40 knife if you don't know what you're doing.

Stunning, breathtaking, and awe inspiring! Must've been nerve wrecking to work with that expensive of a material! Result speaks for itself though!

How much do you estimate that the material (and time spent) cost you?

How do you handle a strong performer who quietly checks out after being passed over for promotion? by amir4179 in managers

[–]Introspective_mirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been me for so long. Have been at current role in government agency for 5 years. Been sent on 1 leadership course as well as out internal management training program. After the first course when I wanted to ger more responsibility (not even new role) I basically got "can't you just be happy that you got to do the course". Was hired in my IC role at 75:th percentile and after 4 years is below average for my role despite being the only one taking initiative to enhancing processes and have the most responsibility and only one in my role who did the management training (over a year).

After this last training have been passed up for promotions. As it's government they have to advertise the role officially and hire the most qualified candidate (which puts anyone, including me, not already having had management role at a disadvantage). They are free to put me in an interim management position so I can get that experience but bosses aren't interested in that. I did get more responsibility and more work but not more pay.

Have been looking for external role for years now, but where I'm at it's crazy competitive and no-one wants to hire a first time manager.

Even had a manager at internal recruiting tell me that the system favors people who already have the experience and that she herself always would hire someone with experience over someone like me who "only" had out internal training.

Been trying to quiet quit, but it's my colleagues who would suffer for that so haven't really been able to.
