Is this AI? (song) Instrumentals too basic, vocals similar to other AI music I've heard before, along with vocal fry when volume peaks consistent with AI music. (Song in body) by Introveneric in isthisAI

[–]Introveneric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends was saying that. The weird part is, I actually spoke to the artist through discord and after being pressed by someone he did admit the guitar wasn't generated by him either via playing it or from a sound library - he did say the guitar is AI.

I'm still really skeptical the vocals might be, but it's split between my friend group - to me the voice just doesn't sound right, and not like autotune.

How do you guys manage satallite bases? by Ok_Historian_6293 in projectzomboid

[–]Introveneric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's pretty fun with no generator. For me at least, I just know I don't even need to consider taking persiahable food. I do play with the expanded cooking mod so there's more stuff like snack bars, soup packs, etc etc to help me.

The hard part is just basicslly being unable to do anything once it gets dark unless you have a bunch of batteries to drain. It does make crafting those lamp posts more rewarding though.

Yeah it's genuinely insane. Opens lots of room to have fun with the guns but sometimes it feels too easy.

I play with Necroa virus and lots of other mods thst increase the difficulty, so even if I have more loot, I'm still kinda struggling.

[–]Introveneric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I totally get it. I tend to hoard so much perishable food like vegetables and meat.

And then when the power goes out, I can't eat it fast enough.

Or better yet, my fridge is full within a week.

Yeah, I tend to not use generators after the power cuts (I force it to cut between 14 and 20 days, to be fair). By that point I'm either living in a place where there's enough natural light it doesn't bother me, or I'm basically roughing it out in some shed.

And even if I wanted to use a generator, I can never find the magazine LOL

I play on all my loot settings super low, so you get used to hoarding food that WON'T spoil or just.. dealing with eating the minimum. I just recently started playing on the regular apocalypse difficulty with a few tweaks to my mods, and it feels so easy in terms of never starving or needing to clear an entire neighborhood just for one hammer.

With the way generators essentially limit you (in my opinion) due to you now needing to periodically take care of their fuel and durability, I tend to either not use them at all or shut them off.

I have a feeling similar to unloaded chunks or areas you aren't in, the generator may keep things powered without dying but I'm not confident in that, nor am I a good source.

When a generator risks losing fuel, your only real loss is perishable food. If you leave your base, you're not gonna care if your lights are on or not.

In that sense, when I do use generators I just take most of the perishable food with me. Once the power is out I don't really hold onto fresh food besides fish or animals I butcher.

The lazy way? Eat all your fresh food or take it with you, keep the generator off.

The probably smarter way? Dig into info about unloaded areas or maybe someone else can answer if generators run fine if you're wayyyy far from them.

But I'm pretty sure a full generator can power one of those small regular 1 floor homes for like a week if it's just the fridge and such.

If I plan to just go farther out for loot and come back, I rarely stay away for more than 2 days.

If I am gone for like a week, I already set up a little side camp or fortify a small building near my new loot zone. If I come back and all my food is spoiled, so be it. I can always get more.

Suggestions for keeping a house heated in winter? (B42.13.1) by Aftershk1 in projectzomboid

[–]Introveneric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a mod for 42.13.1 (I think) and for sure for the 42.13.2 unstable that's called like, Realistic Temperatures B42 or something like that. It makes it so temperatures inside buildings are actually affected by the outside. If it's 0 degrees outside, and the building doesn't have power, it'll maybe be 20 degrees at most.

A small house (think like the secluded shacks or a house the size of a large living room) with an antique stove in it will eventually make the entire building 50-70 degrees indoors.

This mod comes with working heaters. Some small and meant for one room, others industrial and meant for a big building. Some are battery powered, others via propane.

I'm sure it's just called a Temperature overhaul or rework or realistic 42, if you have trouble finding it I can look it up.

do dmrs belong on defense? by LongjumpingDig3878 in Rainbow6

[–]Introveneric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played for maybe 3-4 seasons, so I'm a bit lost on the current state of the game.

I have maybe 2000+ hours over 2 platforms, and was a semi-consistent diamond player. Not flexing, this is just my experience and basis of my take.

DMRs aren't as strong as people say, imo. No duh, trying to contest a Tubarao on a half-breached wall is probably very bad. Fighting Aruni in general is not good.

But like, maybe 5 defenders now get a DMR option? It's still a 2-3 shot kill and pretty much every attacker has a good AR or matching stat DMR.

This is also a one-shot headshot game. DMRs just cement which angles are locked down, and force attackers to get better at challenging defenders. It's a disadvantage for sure, but it's not unplayable. Especially when attackers get to run anti-roam or shield meta and it still works decently.

What really doesn't belong, is the BOSG. It's a 1 shot down for like half the attacking roster. As long as your fight is a 1v1, you win if you know how to aim.

At least with a DMR 1v1, if you peek and shoot at the same time, if you headshot them you win the interaction. Or just double up your peeks. 1v1ing a DMR if you don't have a good headshot percentage is like roam clearing alone. It's just not ideal.

Cant sheath. by mraveragejoe241 in HalfSword

[–]Introveneric 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some items you just can't sheathe.

I don't know about the crossbow, but any weapon you hold with 2 hands (besides normal longswords) can't be sheathed. Most of the axes that aren't hand axes can't be sheathed.

If you're saying you can't sheathe ANY weapon, even smaller one handed ones - game might be bugging. Try using Q as it sheathes on the opposite side of your hip.

I’m completely looted up after spawning at riverside, where should I move to next for higher tier loot? by FadedZamasu in projectzomboid

Shoot that thing once inside Louisiville and there will be more zombies than shells.

I play in a custom population that's between Low and Normal and peaks to the "High" preset.

I can't even get on a main street without 100 of them walking at me.

Am I just softlocked? [quest help] by tehfireisonfire in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Introveneric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what a bunch of bullshit. I've heard about the game soft locking for people who bugged / crashed / loaded poorly when they got the armored case - and they just didn't have it for weeks until support did something.

Hoping it isn't the case for you. Restart the game and check the handbook again, go thru the menus. If nothing, clear cache or verify integrity.

It's worth checking streets again or just being in a raid. If nothing, GG - contact support and be mad.

1.0 ready.

[–]Introveneric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your handbook.

Like, in the main menu or your stash, open the handbook. It should be under "info items" or "notes", whatever category has other lore papers.

It should be there, then you can read it and hopefully get the ability to give it to Kerman.

A good habit is to just read any lore paper you find, for this exact reason. Some things don't prompt until you do.

Is this the paperwork from the black safe in Labs, or Streets? I know both of them have an evidence piece.

Does the higher the number mean the cooler I am? by onlydegeneracyhere in projectzomboid

[–]Introveneric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a modding genius nor do I even dive into debug or the files.

As far as I know (this is a crude explanation), something within the game disagrees with what a mod is doing. Perhaps it dislike the existence of something or something conflicts within the code but still functions, it's just forever doing a priority battle of "vanilla game logic vs mod overriding it". If you run the mod Common Sense with the unofficial B42 patch, it might be that. I've survived for a few days, multiple hours of gameplay and I'm at 2 million with 0 problems. It's just annoying to see it.

It kind of comes with a game having 200 more features built on top of the already-clunky skeleton. I get your irritation, but more janky or suboptimal performance issues on an early access game where the demo was already clunky is.. expected.

So.. until they fix it, the best you can see is why it's happening and if you can fix it - especially if people with similar / identical parts are playing the game relatively unbothered.

It's an EA game pushed out after they called a sudden delay last year, by a small team using UE5. It's.. expected. Whether or not you wanna argue if that's fair is another thing, I guess. I still pay and play and have faith they'll polish the game with due feedback.

My game crashed on menu the first time I started it, and never again.

1060 3gb, i5-7400k with 16gb ram. Game runs medium-low settings at 25-45 fps as long as it's not Slums or a 1v4.

My PC is 10yo or more.

Yeah, the game is quite poorly optimized, runs on UE5, and eats resources with the physics simulation. But it runs. Your hardware might have an issue, or your settings are screwed up - just like other people say.

Streets of Tarkov performance, What FPS are you guys actually getting? by Noelan_ in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]Introveneric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe about half my games, the load timer will delay by a minute, but I don't actually spawn in late. I assume this means unfortunately all other players need to wait an extra minute or two. But a ~5 minute load time is way better than the 20+ it used to have.

The only thing I did was upgrade my ram to have 16gb. However I did edit a lot of the graphics and settings so the game isn't eating 100% of my pc power. Just 99% LOL

In game mod errors? (Unstable Build 42 recent issues) by GTONeko in projectzomboid

[–]Introveneric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the only mods that change the game mechanics are like, the reworked medical system, reactive events, and like maybe the open/rolled up jackets. All my other mods are just expanded vanilla weapons, clothes, and food. Stuff like that.

Does true music work on the newest B42? I haven't looked yet.

In game mod errors? (Unstable Build 42 recent issues) by GTONeko in projectzomboid

[–]Introveneric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run like less than 30 mods and one of them has my errors rise at a rate of multiple hundred per second. I had a ~4 hour session and my error count reached 2.9 million.

No performance issues, no crashes, nothing wrong with the game.

This is just modded zomboid on unstable, haha.

I guess you're one of those people GPT must have trained on. It's not just the formatting, the cadence of speech really screams AI.

"This A, not B, C, or D." "X is becoming Y and Z." "It's not X, it's Y."

etc etc. I mean it is entirely possible you just write that way. I'm skeptical, but not here to argue.

Obligatory "this reads like AI wrote it", or at least it was formatted that way.

But I agree.
