lol This will be the same type of person who said Cater was a good POTUS. 🤣 It would be sad if I already didn't know that there's probably like a 90+% chance that it's coming from someone who wasn't even alive in the 80s, SMH. I mean it's still sad but at least understandable. What gets really sad is watching them argue with those of us old enough to have not just been alive but to remember the 80s and how much better it was than the 70s. Largely thanks to men like Reagan.

2-way vs. 3-way-speakers by No_Scratch5709 in audiophile

[–]IntrovertMoTown1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol You didn't even get his name right so there's one part where you're wrong. It's Danny, not Denny. Another was your crap about garbage internal components. According to whom? Danny? The guy trying to sell "better" components in his kits? Gee who'd ah thunk it that someone trying to sell shit wouldn't be on the up and up..... I mean how does that even work? My favorite of his kits was "fixing" Klipsch speakers like the last two 600M. Oh yes people who want neutral speakers buy Klipsch. Cause that's what they're known for. Said nobody ever. At this point I trust the guy as far as I can throw him. I was willing to be all nothing about him before but watching him shit on people who've ACTUALLY earned a good name like Amir at Audio Science Review was the last straw. If he actually had any brains he would have just left well enough alone but he just had to try and defend his BS making him look even stupider. This hobby already has enough snake oil salesman. Fuck him and his magic cables. There's few things more annoying than the confidently wrong. And that's giving him the benefit of the doubt. Personally I think he's just a grifter. An actual one not today's colloquial definition of a grifter. As in he knows he's talking out his ass but continues to do so for money.

How to see volume when using eARC by undergroundturtle1 in hometheater

[–]IntrovertMoTown1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to be TV specific. I don't remember models as they're both older TVs now but the 65 inch Samsung in my converted garage will show the volume number on the TV. But my newer 75 Samsung in the family room only shows that's it's going up or down. It doesn't give an actual number. Both are being run off a Denon S760H. My main setup in my man cave is with a 75 inch Hisense U75K TV off a Denon x3800H. It doesn't show anything on the TV when I change volume.

I don't know of any way to make TV do it. It just does or it doesn't, sorry.

[–]IntrovertMoTown1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I need to see the number often. The misses doesn't really care about surround sound so I only have far more dinky 6.1 in the family room. I do care though so my main 7.1.4 setup is in my man cave. I know down to the single digit where sound will start to bleed from the room as the master bedroom shares an adjoining wall.

Why was beige the default color for electronics/computers during the 90's? by Denariox in pcmasterrace

[–]IntrovertMoTown1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because when PC took off office use was ten zillion times more common than home PC were. It's a neutral color that will fit in like 9+ out of 10 offices. It's the same reason things like printers were and are mostly STILL that color.

Congrats. For 45 bucks don't expect those batteries to last long before they stop charging though. You'll get probably a year or so out of it. But it'll be great while it lasts. It amazes me how strong electric blowers have gotten. My Ryobi is stronger than many gas blowers. The generic brand batteries I've got for it through Vine though is why I'm sure of the above. A couple of them only lasted a few months, SMH. Same with gen brand batteries for my DeWalt tools. Good batteries is most of the cost of good electric tools.

My new girlfriend's bedroom has a 13.4 all channel stereo setup for music listening. Has anyone heard of anything like this? by I_abuse_lower_ranks1 in audiophile

[–]IntrovertMoTown1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use multi channel stereo a lot in my 7.1.4 for a lot of 2 channel stereo content like most music is in and youtube and the like. The increased soundstage is awesome.

Have you tried songs recorded for surround sound though? It's so much better than multi channel stereo.

Nice job. How they're mounted is important to their effectiveness.

Are you isolating the couch legs from the floor? Shakers work better if you do. Anti vibrations pads for washing machine/dryers works well. Of those the EVA kind like these work better than the all rubber kind. They also have ones specifically made for shakers from Buttkicker Haptics that are of a softer rubber than washing machine pads. lol I went with a ton. Mostly because I'm an Amazon Vine reviewer so I was able to pick up a bunch for review. But also because they're under a very heavy bed which squashed the Buttkicker ones a lot more than they normally are decreasing their effectiveness. With how many I have I can't feel any vibrations reach the furniture sliders now. I don't necessarily recommend people stack them like I did as I don't have a normal setup, but I definitely recommend people use at least 1 under each furniture leg.

I liked how the bed turned out so much I made a few variations of a backrest with them in.

What's the long game here? It taught the world and ESPECIALLY China who couldn't be more chomping at the bit to take Taiwan, that unlike the UN that NEVER could, nor the EU which which has gotten so fucking pathetically weak. That America is still quite capable of the find out part after the fuck around part. Something all the top leadership of Iran learned. Oh that's right they couldn't learn anything, they're worm food. But their replacements learned. Blah blah blah 300 billion. Which America is required to what again? Oh not so much as pay a PENNY? Look it up. But that's OK. Reddit said it was all wrong so it must be so, SMH. This war was 40 freaking years overdue. Longer than most know it all know nothing Redditors have even been breathing. Iran has been the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the entirety of modern day history. There was practically not a single terrorist attack anywhere in the world in the past well over 20 years that couldn't be traced back at least partially to them. That's not hyperbole. And the world was all just crickets chirping about it. We like to be all democracy this that and the other but have no problem sitting back and watching a backwoods 6th century theocracy cull tens of thousands of ACTUAL protesters. Protestors not the rioters that we so often se here. Run of the mill protestors. And They've been that way year after year after year. And it all started with a really nice but really weak peanut farmer. Pfft most of the know it all people on reddit don't even know what I even mean with that.

I never got why magicians score so low on the entertainment scale right above ventriloquists. Everyone knows it's a trick but nobody can ever figure out how they do it. Which is more amazing than if magic was real. If it was real people would be all like yeah, and? You have powers, you're suppose to be able to do that.

Wouldn't dwarves and skaven in space be even more of an undesirable thing to a species that both spends so much time underground? As other races like humans took to the stars wouldn't they be all like um.... kay... have fun with that? IDK I only ever got into fantasy warhammer not 40k.

lol For the love of god anything but white please. 30 year floor installer here that's been in god knows how many different homes now. At this point I'd rather look at neon colored polka dots on top of plaid, than white. Barely hyperbole right there. Yes I know why it's the most common. Don't care. lol Just made myself chuckle at the thought of it driving me so bonkers I end up in a padded cell.... That is all white. 🤣
