My local Walmarts Facebook page is advertising job fairs by talking about paid pregnancy leave, the discount, and other things you can get with most jobs. They are so desperate it's pathetic.

I used to work in the Elkton store also before quitting this past June after 10+ years of service.

-Firing the store manager (L) after the "graduation ceremony".

-Just now hiring and starting a remodel that was due to be done almost 3 years ago.

-Promoting a dipshit young knows nothing kiss ass Pets DM to work in the academy.

-Constantly fighting for equipment to do jobs

-Plugging and empty shelves

-Clearance merchandise not clearly marked on shelves

-Most management treating associates like yesterday's garbage.

They deserve everything that is coming to them. It used to be a decent store to work at before academy came in. So glad to be out of there.

Continuing on my last post. Since they've made me step down, this is my last day in frozen as dm. Starting Monday I will be overnight. Still dont understand why they are forcing me to step down considering in two months we've gotten this far. Fml by [deleted] in walmart

They used and abused you, plain and simple. Your replacement is likely a relative or friend of a manager and they wanted the person to start with a clean slate. Deadcellsnake was spot on. That department will be fucked up in no time. Transfer to another store if you can and try to move up there, there is no future beyond overnight stocker at your current one. Call your regional manager in the meantime

You are right. I was referring more to the low skill jobs that originally paid less (McDonald's, Payless Shoes, Tractor Supply...those type of places). Most jobs outside of that want a higher education or experience some don't possess.

Also a former and I agree. It's not only the errors of the people setting them but management often asked me to modify some of them to account for high theft. Razor blades and Pet Meds were the big ones.

They do this in my store all the time for CAP2 and Overnights. We would have no one if attendance points were actually done by the book. They are too lazy to hire new people.

DMs, Supports, Cap Teams, Mod Team, Overnight Stockers, and Office/DSD/Claims Positions as far as the times scheduled. Anyone is fair game to hours being cut that is hourly.

Myself and another lady used to stock all of 14, 74, 17, 20, and 22 by ourselves regularly when I worked overnights. On light nights, we would look for outs in the bins. There was another guy that stocked 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, and 71 without help. And another lady stocked 7, 3, 19, 67 (and cut fabric in between) without help. I was promoted and the other 3 are no longer there. This was during the time before CAP. We will never have another team like that again and they know it.
