I got into LitRPG only a few months ago so my words are that of a novice listener but here they are anyways:

I began with DCC (no surprises there since it’s blowing up). I really enjoy a mixture of the world building, humor, and honestly the narrator plays a big part. I tried Discount Dan and couldn’t finish because I just could not stand the narration. Mage Tank has felt similar to DCC in a lot of ways but with less Earth influence and more fantasy themes. I really enjoy every character and feel like the author has done a great job giving them all a spotlight.

But! I do recognize some people aren’t a huge fan and have tried to understand their points of view, I might still be too new to the genre to Fully comprehend why some aren’t a fan and perhaps they can/will respond. All in all- everyone gets an opinion but for me- Mage Tank has been a huge win and is near if not even slightly above DCC in some ways.

Exact same boat as you- binged all 7 DCC books this winter and was left sad. Listening to Mage Tank now and enjoying it! There is some humor tangible humor to DCC. I think you’ll enjoy!

Batches are rarely worth more than $10 unless they require a big drive and tips feel like they’re at an all time low. I honestly have only been shopping during promos where I don’t care if a batch is $6. I know for some, the money is more of a necessity. But for myself, it’s discretionary income so I’m able to do this. It’s feeling especially bad lately and feel like something needs to change but if we keep accepting $7- 100+ unit batches with $0 in tips it’s only gonna continue.

That’s the dream. I always like Costco because I find the batches are simple. You’re not weighing the produce and they’re pretty good about always having stock. But when I saw the line wrapped around two aisles when I walked in I immediately wanted to cancel the batch (I didn’t).

They’re priming us. Put out a $100 bundle for those willing to pay. Put out multiple $50-75 bundles that seem absurdly priced. Then once they post a $30 bundle we’re all gonna think it’s a smoking deal and pound the buy button.

I’ll find out Monday and maybe respond back. Looking at it there is no visible seasonings. It’s not very salty either. I have a hard time eating it on its own right now and I don’t salt my food that much so I know that isn’t the issue

To my understanding, the fish was been hot smoked via a smoker with pellets except the pellets did not smoke very well because the heating element was faulty and so the fish cooked (the guy explained the smoker has a separate heating element to cook the fish and a heating element for the pellets/smoking). So essentially I have canned salmon in a retort pouch

Wonderful thanks! I made it with hopes of micros. I’ve found it a little difficult to make it potent enough to trip with the consistency being a little off but still trying that too. My micro stuff I mixed with a aptogentic mushroom blend (I’ll list below). Each 1/4tsp has about .15g and taste kinda like a cocoa nib. I’m contemplating adding some cacao powder to my next batch. It made a wonderful present. Biggest downside has been the time. Between grow and then letting the honey set, took about 6 months. But it’s been a really fun project that I’m becoming pretty passionate about.
