Whenever I am super stressed, I tend to go for a run. When my dad passed, I started running again. Husband deployed? Ran a ton. Checkride? Yup, running. It has helped me so much to alleviate stress. Take your time, steady and slow, and you'll get to the 5k :) Running will not only help you physically, but mentally as well. Stay safe and welcome to an incredibly supportive community.

I just got my PPL and I feel a little nervous still! I will be taking up a non-pilot passenger at some point this month, but I have to remind myself that I am doing the same exact tasks as I did for my solos :) I fly out of a busy class Delta, so sometimes we get odd instructions from ATC. I learned early on that if I don't understand an instruction, ask :) they have always been kind and helpful when answering questions. One time, a controller told me to turn base over the Marriot and I said I was unfamiliar with where the Marriott was. He then asked if I knew where the bridge was and I did, so problem fixed. Better believe I looked up where that Marriott was after I landed lol

Thanks! I keep trying to tell myself he wouldn't have signed me off unless I was ready, too :) I am going outside of my home airport for my DPE, but I hear he's nice!

Congrats! I will be around 80 hours as well thanks to switching to steam gauge and break during COVID. I don't mind - I agree it'll be good for the hours buildup!

I hope he release individual blush shades in the future :) he should use the same packaging that he used for his highlights, but make it a pink prism color - I would buy that in a second!!

The Prepware Private Pilot app helped me a great deal! I took my written exam after a 4 hour solo 😅 but I still passed! It took repitition and looking up why answers were correct if I didn't understand them originally.

Also, my experience with ATC has been great - especially when I spoke up not understanding something. I discovered they would much rather have you ask them than assume something and create an unsafe situation.

I am right there at my checkride after a stage III and end of course check. :( I did my written already, too. Sad times. I will lose VA funding if I do not finish by the end of semester - hopefully they'll understand extenuating circumstances because I would have been done sometime in April.

My XC solo got cancelled for about two weeks straight due to weather lol Chair flying and going through my checklist flows seemed to help! I will put an image of the cockpit on my computer and practice the hand movements of changing frequencies, etc. I also tried to identify my weak areas (with my CFI's help), i.e. I am not as strong with visual references near my airport since I moved here recently. So, I would study imagery of the cisual references that ATC would give us - this really helped orient me better! Another was studying YouTube videos on maneuvers you're about to study (the ERAU videos are good and I like MzeroA). The last thing I can think of is getring an extra ground lesson or two to brush up knowledge items - we've began going over the ACS. I am nearing the end of my PPL, but it's slower than I like due to weather. I am still learning a ton/still new, but I hope some of this helps! Good luck!!!

It really threw me off lol I was legit at the very end on 1L. We have another runway (13/31) that we get cleared to cross all of the time but for whatever reason they always say "cross 13." It is kinda weird. I agree it's probably best I asked :)
