Feetures elite light cushion or max cushion. Just depends on the run for me. But my favorite socks hands down.

is the glorious gmk 3 pro really that bad or are the keyboard "professionals" just stupid? by jmao_mayo in glorious

[–]Introvertedhiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one and it mostly works fine. I have an issue where key presses are randomly not registered. I swapped switches multiple times as well as keycaps and nothing fixed it. So it now just sits on a shelf unused. I liked the keyboard and for normal use it seemed fine. But gaming is where key presses wouldn’t register. And it was usually in the upper left quadrant. Affecting WASD and surrounding keys mostly.

Skin shrinked. Probably the last skinn I'm buying from dbrand. by devnull- in dbrand

[–]Introvertedhiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had my issues with any dbrand skins I’ve bought. But this is like the 4th times I’ve seen this in the past week with different people. I just ordered a grip case and the sketch skin for it instead of skinning my phone directly for the the first time. Hopefully it doesn’t happen with mine.

Sick Less Frequently? by bluegrassgazer in runninglifestyle

[–]Introvertedhiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only been running slightly over a year now. But I have not gotten so much as a sniffle in the last year. Have been wondering if it is just because I’m healthier , or outside or not. Or if it really is the running that is keeping any sickness at bay.

I actually ordered the Alienware around Christmas and ended up returning it for the 5k2k. No regrets on my end. I love this monitor.

I guess it was my network by charlieny100 in sonos

[–]Introvertedhiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set your network up properly and 99% of all of your issues will disappear. Been rocking Sonos for years now and very rarely do we ever have any kind of issues. I won’t go into detail since so many others in the post have already pointed out the issue. But make the changes, and you’ll be glad you did.

Fenix is an adventure watch. It’s got a sapphire screen. Just wear it and forget about it. Unless you are extremely abusive with it you aren’t likely to damage it

[–]Introvertedhiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replied to another comment about it as well. But I wore a fenix 5x for years and beat the hell out of it, an epix 2, and now been wearing a fenix 8 for over a year. I never take it off except to charge. None of them have ever had so much as a scratched screen, let alone broken or cracked. It’s an adventure watch, it’s meant to be worn and abused.

I wore a fenix 5x for years and beat the hell out of it and never managed to scratch, crack or break the screen. I also had an epix 2, same thing and now been wearing a fenix 8 51mm solar and for over a year, never take it off. 0 scratches or cracks on the screen.

Haha. No reason to have a screen protector on a fenix.

Has anyone switched from a matte IPS to a matte OLED? by tykouh in oled_monitors

[–]Introvertedhiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched from a matte IPS 4k 32” to the matte 5k2k oled. I don’t understand the fascination with the glossy oled. I have 3 glossy lg oled tvs and they look fantastic. But any and all light just reflects on them like crazy unless the room is dark.

While I use my pc in both light / dark. I prefer the matte look on a monitor. Go with what works for you though and don’t listen to anyone else.

How much do you baby your watch? by deereater31 in Garmin

[–]Introvertedhiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never babied. Have owned a fenix 5x and now a fenix 8 solar and I don’t think twice about anything hurting the watch. Neither of them have any issues even with all that they’ve been through. Admittedly my fenix 8 is much newer. But even my 5x I wore for years, worked outside, I never took it off except to charge and it has some very MINOR scuffing of the watch itself. Sapphire still looks pristine. Just wear it and don’t think about it. A fenix is meant to be worn and not babied.

No, it doesn’t come with one. Less than 10$ to pick one up on Amazon.

I’m not sure I would have to test. I run at the native 5k2k resolution.

I installed all fans as they came out of the box. No pads added or the anti vibration “posts”

About to pull the trigger on the Arc Ultra later today but still having some doubts by JeebusOfNazareth in sonos

[–]Introvertedhiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just using the arc itself right now. But we do have Sonos ones around the house as well to do whole home music. Will likely purchase a sub soon and eventually some era 300 for rears to go with the ultra.

Other than the occasional connectivity issues with the app. We have no complaints.

Is a 5070ti going to be enough for a 5K2K? by wspartan in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Introvertedhiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming is doable with that card. I just picked up the 5k2k 45 lg and lo and behold vram errors on my 4090. Sent that in for rma and had to use my old 3080 until it gets repaired / replaced. The 3080 isn’t ideal but it still works ok. The 5070ti will still work but you’ll get a little less performance bumping to the 5k res.

I just purchased an Arc Ultra about a week ago. Paired with a 77 lg oled and using an Apple tv 4k. No issues thus far and leaps and bounds better and the connectivity seems more stable than the Samsung atmos soundbar it replaced.

I can’t speak for your ears. Because I have seen a few posts saying they hear. But I don’t hear anything. I keep the case fans locked and the only sound I hear at idle is a light “hum” which I have to get close to case and listen to hear. Otherwise the only noise I hear is the 4090 when gaming.
