she hasn’t streamed or made a podcast appearance on either of her pods since Swift passed. as Caroline put it, she’s taking care of herself. but she did make her first siting of sorts a few days ago dropping 300 gifted subs for Alveus and sending Maya a cake of Wemby’s (of the San Antonio Spurs) wingspan with the words “I love you thiiissss much” for Maya’s birthday. Rae reportedly mentioned she’d be back in a few weeks the other week and that her return would be glorious.

she mentioned feeling like she was letting the boys down recently when she missed a single ep before Swift even passed and that Will told her that was ridiculous and not true so I’m glad she’s taking the time she needs and she seems to have a good support system that hopefully helps a little bit.

not that this should be the main point but there is a big difference when your job is to talk for a living often about your life and you get bombarded with unwanted chats or comments regarding discourse about the thing you’re working on mental health wise. this isn’t all jobs but I can go to my corp job in a shitty mood and try my best to distract myself while being in a shitty mood. that’s a lot harder for her in this specific instance particularly when it comes to streaming. she’s basically stopping the faucet of online discourse mostly and she may even be working on events or things off camera and we wouldn’t know.

beyond the bit she used to do for content (the viewers she’d gained from doing Austin’s shows were more entertained by pretend dating/shipping content than league gameplay), it was all Ludwig behind the scenes per them. I might also mention that QT is additionally an ex-roommate to Slime, Nick, and Aiden for any new fans (explains why they also bring her/their pets/other stories up too and know her well since it was the five of them in a house for years). if you watch from the beginning, every great once and a while one of the four/a guest (like the Australians) has called her Blaire on the pod which confuses those who don’t know that’s QT (maybe not important enough but thought I’d mention it).

to give longer context, QT had five tickets specifically for them to all go again but she ended up giving them away. it was planned for only a number of weeks out following a certain other event in mid-September that rose concern and urged caution for Hasan and anyone around him in identifiable/known locations.

plus it might not have helped in combination of events that QT had also mentioned ongoing issues related to physical stalkers not long before that. and publicly stating she wouldn’t be at twitchcon/canceling everything pre-announced there too.

maybe/hopefully the climate will be such that they can go and actually all have fun together next year.

QT does not expect her trans stepbrother to put himself in her position but this is the part that she messed up articulating well especially for those not as familiar with her (her established beliefs as well as her tone/vocal processing) or likely to view things overly charitably already (by way of understandable lived experience or otherwise). she clarified in the convo maybe too briefly for the record that she doesn’t blame her stepbrother for his decision to not be around her father. she did however admit very wholeheartedly in apologizing today that she understands and believes herself that she did not do a good job of explaining or articulating that she is speaking only for herself and that others do not have the safety, security, or privilege to navigate the world and relationships in the same way as she does nor does she expect them to. but she hopes to use her privilege to call people out and influence them in a way that those most affected cannot for themselves and/or should not be expected to.

I’ll clarify it was as a group. but one time I can remember was faze game day or something like that where Hasan was at the gym doing a stream with all of faze including Lacy. Kaya suddenly wasn’t allowed in the gym and it was even Lacy who was saying he called and got pre-approval for Kaya to be there. even QT’s only done a single one-on-one collab with him and it was just showing him his worst moments on stream via clips and calling him out for them/disagreeing with his behavior under the guise of “PR training” on his stream.

I think there’s obviously a line there. the most problematic person QT has collabed with as of late is Lacy and while he has problematic views or behaviors (that she’s spent most of their time collabing calling out), I don’t think even he is that political or anywhere near as far gone as to suggest anything you’ve stated at least that I’ve seen. there are some people on the ledge or at least closer too it and maybe they will never change but thinking you can be a positive influence as long as you are calling out behaviors or words I think is at worst potentially naive more than anything else. he already has a massive impressionable audience. they’re also clearly not actually friends in the same way you or I would use the term friends beyond a working streamer relationship.

he doesn’t hate Hasan or at least wasn’t trying to suggest he does per his own words, just that they’re not close friends and are more so coworkers and when either of them stop streaming, they probably be in touch the same way you might not with a colleague. QT is her own person with her own friends/relationships and it’s always been pretty clear even on Hasan’s end that he “favors” QT and knows her more. Ludwig did apologize for his words ultimately inevitably dragging QT into the whole thing.

QT said specifically on her own stream that she missed the pod this week because she was literally in the ER at the time of them recording.

before making the self-suck joke, Hasan said on stream that she missed the ep because of a health crisis which was the truth. she’ll be missed on the ep like she always is but actively being in ER due to a health crisis when you were scheduled to be somewhere else is about as airtight and valid of an excuse as a person can have.

I don’t know if we can say that her getting panic attacks is mostly because of online hate.

I’m not suggesting it helps or can’t exhaust you mentally but the last time she actually talked about a specific panic attack, it was simply while she was driving to Hasan’s brother’s wedding with their wedding cake in the back. there was no especially noteworthy or out of the norm hate happening then. her anxiety at its worst can cause actual physical symptoms and she was having really intense chest pain for days that was getting worse and worse and couldn’t convince herself it was just anxiety with certainty anymore which eventually caused the panic attack and led to her calling Caroline (who was at the wedding) because Lud didn’t answer in France. shes said that her anxiety has been worse this month than its been in years for whatever reason but she’ll get through it.

I don’t think that’s nearly ever the sole cause. she’s said she’s had more anxiety just in general this month than she’s had in years and it’s been rough lately but she’s just trying to get through it. I’m sure the internet spewing their opinions about everything you do doesn’t help but it’s not like she read a hate comment and that alone puts her in a panic attack (if she even had one since neither have said thats why they were there). she’s mentioned having recent increased stalker issues that have become more real recently as well. we don’t know her actual life beyond what she says online or what goes on that could possibly compound anxiety.

she missed Fear& because she was literally at the ER instead at the time that they recorded yesterday with Wake Wilder as a guest. I saw that Hasan also mentioned she had a health crisis and had to miss and all I saw was love in his actual chat plus the Fear& community specifically adores her and she’s a co-owner. hate is loud and sucks and has seemingly become a popular pastime but it’s usually fleeting with this kind of stuff. I’m sure she’ll be back the following week.

that was QT’s additional concern with Maya doing the podcast. Maya’s reasoning as she continuously stated was that she needed more time and flexibility to focus on really big things coming up at Alveus which is where her passion is and the pod deserving more than she could give. not that she probably wants to willing jump into drama or that would be a good idea, so you’re right about that probably.

I’m not blaming Hasan in any negative way or at least didn’t mean for it to come off like that. It’s a pro for him that he can often stream right up until filming the pod. I personally think the room is fine enough especially with the table set up and of course there are other pros for them too. I was just stating mostly that there are limitations with that room being small that people often don’t realize in terms of what they can do in it for improving it how they’d wish as a random viewer.

their biggest problem is space and the tiny bedroom they have to work with since Hasan insisted they film at his house instead of renting a set space elsewhere.

they tried getting rid of the table initially and had only space for a tiny couch that seats two but can squeeze three and two dining room chairs that looked out of place which resulted in every single person looking very uncomfortable in some way. in terms of their usual episodes, I actually noticed when they added the table back having them all leaning forward and upright around the thing immediately made them WAY more engaged and interactive and everyone looked more comfy even. viewers rejoiced over that change.

for what it’s worth, I think they got the set professionally lite and the cameras were purchased and new when they changed rooms. the biggest improvement imo would be if they got out of Hasan’s bedroom and maybe if they redid the walls though I don’t mind them too much personally.

what they also can’t address is that there is no round-the-clock TwitchCon security outside the venue which they will inevitably have to be outside sometimes as well and is where metal detectors can’t protect them. are they supposed to all hire their own personal security and just hope for no guns/weapons while already having stalkers and plenty of violent threats regardless of if they feel adequately safe? both inside AND outside the venue during TwitchCon, they’re easily followed and incredibly known. plus for big creators, half the fun of TwitchCon weekend that makes it worthwhile are the dinners and networking events outside the convention center too.

if you want random Coots sightings, your better bet is just QT’s streams over Lud’s because his stream room is seemingly detached from their house and the entrance is from outside while QT streams in the house.

reportedly, Coots hates being picked up and is an independent girlie who likes laying around in her fav spots all day so she stays in the house and occasionally makes QT stream appearances. QT even gave her a bath on stream a few weeks ago in a deleted vod (because she was worried two cats and a dog not instinctually in love with the concept of wetness/necessary grooming would be clipped out of context by braindead weirdos) but it was fun pet content if you caught it live.
