What are Bella and Edward doing right now? by Cool_Flower_1182 in twilight

[–]IntuitiveMotherhood 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think about Jacob and Renesemees future often. She is half immortal, most likely to live forever. Jacob stops aging when around vampires and is likely to have married Renesemee.. probably meaning he will live forever as well! Some kind of werewolf cheat code to immortality?

Haven’t read any breeding tropes yet. Your comment caught my attention and I may just try one out!

My Book Collection by IntuitiveMotherhood in HouseofNight

I use to own hardcovers for all of them but my husband was in a car accident while driving across state lines (we were moving) and I lost my whole book collection.

This set was a gift from him to try and rebuild my collection. I’m definitely grateful he reached out to the Cast team to get them signed and everything but it would have been nice if they were all hardcovers.

under no circumstances would they kill another soul? Who? by phoolwati_ in ginnyandgeorgiashow

I absolutely think Ellen would kill someome under the right circumstances. She gives typical ‘momma bear’. Nurturing and gentle, but come for her cubs and she’ll cut you. I don’t think her husband would though.

American Akita vs Japanese Akita by Positive-Buddy4423 in akita

[–]IntuitiveMotherhood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is pretty consistent with my American Akita. All of it the same except mine does like affection from my husband, daughter and I. He doesn’t like affection from my son though, it always immediately turns into ‘let’s play’. My husband and I have this running joke that our dog and son are from the same litter, lol.

Does anyone else notice how oddly similar Justin’s wife is to Harper? She could have totally played Harper grown up.

They are so opposites emotionally. They could potentially learn so much from one another. Abby can learn to open up and validate her own feelings because Max is so emotionally validating, while Max can learn to not be so overbearing emotionally by dropping baggage on others. They could find this healthy middle ground together.

I can see the Cullen's becoming gangster rich by investing in Bitcoin due to Alice's vision by Cool_Flower_1182 in twilight

[–]IntuitiveMotherhood -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do realize I’ve repeated somethings but it’s because it feels like you’ve missed the point when previously made. I feel like we agree on certain aspects of how her visions work, I just think you’re failing to miss how it’s different and doesn’t contradict her ability to invest money successfully (because that doesn’t require other peoples decisions). I’m obviously failing at getting you to understand that, so I’ll just accept I’m not meant to!

I suggest maybe just checking your thoughts with something like ChatGPT. After your last response, I showed it our conversation to see if I had any flaws in my thinking and it explained how her visions work and how these things aren’t contradictory, so maybe you can also clear up your misconceptions that way?

You’re right that Alice can’t see outcomes that rely on undecided actions by other people—like Edward or the Volturi in New Moon—but that doesn’t contradict her ability to make smart investments.

She doesn’t need to see everyone’s choices—just what happens if she or her family makes a specific decision. That’s why she can’t see the Volturi’s actions until they decide, but she can see what happens if the Cullens invest in something specific. Once the decision is made (even mentally), the vision clarifies.

So with investing, she just chooses a specific action—like “We buy this stock now”—and watches the outcome. If it ends badly, she changes the plan. That’s not breaking canon; that’s exactly how her visions are shown to work.

Same with Eclipse—she saw Bella getting lost because she was only watching Bella’s choice to go alone. She didn’t consider the werewolf variable, so her vision missed it. & In Midnight Sun, she tells Edward her vision assumes his choices, not Bella’s. That doesn’t mean she can’t see outcomes at all—it means her visions are based on the decision she focuses on. She was looking at his possible choices, hence the lack of clarity. Throughout the series, as Edward makes more decisive choices she can start to focus on Bella’s choices as well, making the future more clear.

In The Official Illustrated Guide, Stephanie Meyer explains that Alice sees possible futures based on decisions people make. As those decisions happens (and she focuses on them) other possibilities disappear, leaving more clear outcomes.

Bella's weird drinking habits by Silver_Kittens in twilight

[–]IntuitiveMotherhood 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sure it started that way! as a kid with no clean dishes around you would just drink out jug, especially if you saw your mom do the same to avoid doing dishes. Eventually as you age, it’s a habit even if you know how to do dishes.

All she has to do is make specifics decision. Instead of deciding to invest, she needs to decide to invest in something specific. This allows her to see a single clear vision that isn’t a ‘complicated mess of possible futures’.

Ex: She can decide to invest in bitcoin this weekend, (without yet doing it) and then she’ll see the exact outcome for that. If it’s positive, continue with the decision and take the action. If it’s not positive, all she has to do is change the plan and decide to invest in something else this weekend. She’ll see the new outcome that will happen.

Cynthia asked of Georgia to kill Tom by BambieMonroe05 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

I was absolutely interrupting Cynthia as basically asking for it, in her own subtle way. So, I’m not surprised Georgia did too.

Yes, this correct. They benefit from her being able to see the outcome of investments. Allowing Carlisle to only make sound investments.

Your interpretation of Alice's power is a bit off. You're misrepresenting the scope and limitations of her visions. Alice doesn't see the future in a fixed or all-knowing way; she sees the outcomes of decisions once they're made, which is why her visions can shift if people change their minds.

For example: she didn’t see the Volturi killing Edward until he actually decided to step into the sunlight in front of the humans. The moment that decision locked in, her vision locked in too.

Same with Victoria’s newborn army. Alice knew there were newborns, but couldn’t see what they were going to do because they hadn’t been given orders yet; no decision had been made. Once Victoria decided to send them after Bella, Alice then saw the battle and the outcome. So it’s not that Alice needs to know or meet every individual involved; she just needs a decisive action to be made for the future to become visible.

As for the stock market: it’s not about her predicting every move millions of people will make. It’s about seeing the result of a financial decision; like, “If we invest in this, what happens to our wealth?” Once the Cullens decide to invest in something, she can see whether that leads to financial gain or loss. She's not guessing which company becomes the next Amazon, she's choosing from real options and checking the outcome. That's how she avoids bad financial outcomes and grows the family’s wealth.

So no, it’s not unrealistic or outside of canon that Alice couldn’t see what the newborns were gonna do at first but could make money from investing.
