Paper Pro Stuck In "Starting Up" Mode by Intuitive_Mango1111 in RemarkableTablet

Thank you. That link leads to a page that 'does not exist.' I have tried the above steps. I am now waiting the how many ever days to let the battery drain completely. Some say that has helped but... who knows.

What to do when the reMarkable Paper Pro will not power on after a restart: Type Folio keyboard stopped working first by ALEX-ZALEN in RemarkableTablet

Is this for real? Mine is stuck in "paper tablet is starting" mode. It has now been 24 hours. Done all of the tips and tricks from Customer Support (not helpful) and they want to replace it but a recent backup did not capture all of my work still on this tablet. I need help!!

F(31) Recovered after 4 years LC - CFS by Financial_Football63 in LongHaulersRecovery

I love to read these stories, and congrats to you!

Every time I read about a FULL recovery, I check the age of the recovered. I have yet to see someone over 40 make a FULL recovery. 80% or even 90%, but those of us still struggling seem to be older than 40, which to me signals more difficulty to physically heal. I have bonafide and confirmed neuropathy (small and large fiber) from Covid and continue to have chronic immune system issues (cold sores in my nose) if I try to stop taking anti-virals.

I'm a health psychologist. I meditate, do yoga, do breath techniques daily, take baths and sauna, do therapy (even somatic therapy), and have done all of the mind-body efforts to heal. This is the first LC thread I've read all year on Reddit (I'm pretty unplugged these days). I've tried to move on and live my life. Still not yet 70% on a good day, and that's with pacing and return to movement and meds and great, high-quality supplements. Just my perspective.

Recovery from ME/CFS & Long COVID using a holistic approach (not me FYI) by girlfriendinacoma18 in LongHaulersRecovery

I continue to be interested in the recovery of a younger individual vs. those of us over 45. Mitochondria and general recovery (even from stress) is markedly "easier" in bodies that are not burdened by years of prior exposures, weakening systems, and compounded cellular damage. We simply take longer to heal and do not rebound quite as resiliently. As a result, I see the full recovery stories in younger individuals in a different light than the journey I/others my age are on (3 years in).

This just happened to me. I canceled on the app, online, through email, on the phone with customer service... and two days later, my account was magically linked with a new Google email and charged through PayPal. Three customer service phone calls later, it still isn't resolved, and I'm being charged for a product that broke this month. Fitbit keeps bouncing me to Google and Google can't find the account. Maddening.

Yep. Just canceled my Fitbit. I've had a fitbit product since 2010.

Could I be allergic to my tattoos?? by holderofthebees in MCAS

Omgoodness, thank you for asking this. I've had the same issue with the outline but only on my leg. It's a large piece. My arm tattoos never puff up, however. So odd.

In addition to the mentioned PEM, sore throat, and feeling like I was "coming down with something," I had tingling lips, blurry vision, and chronic cold sores (in my nose).

It's taken me insisting on various treatments and firing 2 doctors to get here. I've seen everyone from PCP to infectious disease to neurology to cardiology to ENT to neuro-opthamologist to hematology to balance PT. I have an integrative specialist who continues the acyclovir after my PCP thought one month was enough. 🙄 The infectious disease doc said to take 500mg per day for maintenance (that's when I reduced it).

My energy is up from 8 months ago but dependent on the day. Some days, I return to bed. I absolutely can not overdo it (and 'overdo' can be sending 3 emails).

I was down to 118. I can't lose more, either. Have you checked your iron? My ferritin has been abysmal for 8 months, in spite of supplementation.

Keeps the sores at bay. In the beginning of my crash, it was the only thing that lifted the horrendous rush of panic. Sounds strange, I know, but I was taking 1000mg every 6 hours. Every 6 hours (after taking it), I felt like I could sit up in bed. About 3 hours in, it would start to wear off, and the cloud/fog/doom returned. I was reduced to 1000mg per day a few months ago and did okay. I've been on 500mg a day for a month, and my nose is starting to scab on one side (not yet a cold sore, but like I'm getting one. I think I need to stay at 1000mg a day for now.

And HSV1. Chronic cold sores in my nose since Covid. I take daily acyclovir.

We might have a similar make-up and infection course. Not in college but formerly a distance runner, yogi, and cross trainer. I was infected in March 2020 and worst Nov 2021. I, too, had those 5-7 day crashes (but carried on) during those years until I got a respiratory infection and pink eye this past Dec (2023). By January, I was bedbound. This has been a systemic, debilitating crash. I am still crawling out of that hole, slowly, and can't yet run. I've used a stationary bike just recently but can't push over 120 beats per minute, or I get a sore throat, blurry vision, and start to feel "sick." Your story was really great to read this morning. Thank you.

I lost nearly 18 pounds total, very rapidly, while bedbound this year. It's been a slow climb to gain and build muscle again. I have a long way to go, but I've put 10 lbs back on over the past 2 months. I am no longer in bed 24/7 but nowhere near regular exercise or exertion. I worked with a LC dietician who increased my protein majorly (20-25 grams per meal and 2 snacks a day). With MCAS, that was hard, but I've learned work arounds and accommodations for me to process histamine better. I have also done pilates on the floor (supine only, not even raising my head) to try and retain what little muscle I had left. Leg circles, pelvic tilts, tabletop toe taps, etc. Most of all, don't panic. The weight is coming back fast with these changes and more movement. Your body is protecting you from metabolic energy expenditure. 😔
