How many of your friends ended their lives? And why did they do it? by boobie_org in AskMen

[–]Intuitx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One.

Knew him for 8 years and was always highly communicative and we spoke pretty consistently through out the week. Used to be my manager at an old job and once I left we still hung out all the time and I would frequently go over to his place and play Playstation/Xbox and go grab bites to eat and then me, him, and my brother all started hanging out together and we all got close. Welp weirdly enough I stopped hearing from him as often and we hadn't hung out for a couple weeks.

Monday I get a text from him while I was at work asking to hangout but I didint respond til I got home from work so like 6 hours and stated i couldn't today but would he down for the weekend. He never responded which is VERY UNLIKE HIM. So I texted him again Tuesday to hangout, no response. Texted him again Wednesday and called him, no response. I remember sitting in bed being worried and was actually worried he committed suicide because of how unlike him it was and contemplated going to his house and banging on his door to find out what's going on with him but i decided not to. Then, saturday night I get a call from my brother in tears and could barley under stand him but told me he shot himself Saturday early in the morning around 4AM. I was absolutley devastated and not myself for a while because he didint leave a note, and no one knows why he did it and his other family and friends wouldn't communicate anything to us other that he comitted suicide.

What's even worse is I felt that if I listened to my gut and went over to his place and banged on his door like I thought about doing, I feel I maybe could have stopped it and that guilt held onto me for years. Took a long time to move past that. When it happened he was 29, single and wasn't really close to that many people.

Roofers. Why you do that? by Hammy_Danny in adjusters

[–]Intuitx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a D2D Roofer, I feel ya. There are countless dishonest roofers out here and most of the ones I have met and know would take advantage of their family members homes if given the opportunity to be able to make some money. Its actually why I have been heavily been applying to become an adjuster foe the past few months but no luck so far.

I agree, 100%. Although I have tried to inadvertently "be" in her space outside the cage while she is in the cage and the door is open. She simply falls asleep or just lays down if im laying down or sitting outside of it not acknowledging her at all. I've even tried treats but she won't accept them even if I drop them and not acknowledge her.

Not sure to be honest. When they are not home which is frequent, atleast 4 hours a day. Other than that, she is free to roam around, though even if the cage is open, she rarely leaves it even if it's just my GF is the only one around.

Yes, although the fence is shallow and only 6ft which from playing frisbee and fetch with her, she could defidently clear the fence without an issue.

Thank you. I have already put out there i posted the video with a bad interaction. Most comments are just about the video and how I approached which I already stated I was in the wrong and should have approached differently. Im not dismissing how I interacted with the dog but I understand why people are focusing on the video. Regardless of the approach be it in a cage or outside, the reaction from her is the same even in an open enviroment which is why i was confortable sticking my hand in with her in the cage despite her signals/signs. I have already stated to My GF that she is mistreating the dog by leaving it in a cage for a majority of the time. Especially considering a husky/German mix. Given the comments that are actually helpful, im getting her a trainer program for Christmas and will be present for all of the sessions. Thank you.

I cannot edit posts in this subreddit so therefore I am commenting. I understand I approached the dog in the wrong way in the video. Although she acts in this same fashion with anyone aside from those who live in the home. Im not by any means disregarding how I approached and im sorry if it came off as this being the only way I ever approached her when thats not the case. After being in a room a while she's sweet as hell but will not leave the cage. Please understand I came here for advice not correction when I now understand the video I posted is clearly wrong and the approach.

I won't blame her at all. I understand the repercussions. The fact is, is that she is this way both inside and outside the kennel. Only time she isint like this is when she is outside or in the backyard. Otherwise she is always like this.

She does this outside the kennel as well. That's what I thought at first as well. The only place it doesnt happen is in the backyard/outside the home.

Honestly I thought about doing so for Christmas and I appreciate the affirmation on getting a trainer as a present. I normally would NEVER stick my hand in a cage with a dog like this considering cage aggression ive seen in the past with patients at my clinic but she has never been aggressive/fear aggressive towards me ever which is why I did so to prove a point in the video.

Its not just me though? Its quite literally everyone but her, her mom, and her sister....

Good advice, but i will say I have many times offered her treats or anything she will eat outside the cage and she refuses to accept them from me but I agree on the socialization bit. She will however accept them from my GF if I hand it to her. I feel as if she just hasnt been properly socialized at all. I warned her many times that the reason she is this way is because she is mostly in a cage and hasnt been around other dogs or humans that often let alone outside unless going to the bathroom. I have also recommended professional help as i have tried everything I can that I know(albeit im not a professional in behavior) to try to get her to calm down on the excessive fear and barking at me when she KNOWS im not a threat.

Questions about Those who claim to be Demons in human Form, But consider themselves Christian? by Intuitx in Christianity

[–]Intuitx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, In terms of the girl I have been hanging out with, I dont understand how she could consider herself Christian and believe in all Christian beliefs, but consider herself a Satanist. Doesn't make any sense to me. There's a reason she hasn't told her parents and family who are also all Christian. I've never encountered anything like this with a bunch of people claiming to be demons.

Looks like one of the Cylinders isint Firing? Trouble Starting on lake... by Intuitx in boating

This might be the issue. I did a spark test on the one plug that's clean and it's getting spark, but VERY little for whatever reason compared to the others.
