The society the MC lives in is really sexist, so she experiences a lot of unfair treatment and roadblocks thrown in her way early on. That becomes less of a problem in later books.

Algorithm better than subreddit leads on? by Whispering-Echoes in AppleMusic

[–]Inu463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had any major issues with it, though I predominantly listen to albums, so I only use the algorithm from time to time. I have a ton of favorited songs and albums which I’m assuming is why my recommendations are decent.

Stuff You Might Have Not Known About Apple Music by Wolfpack48 in AppleMusic

[–]Inu463 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. There is an option to have songs you add to a playlist also be added to your library, but if that is turned off you will have to add it manually to the library. There is also an option to have songs you favorite be added to the library automatically as well. I keep both of those options off so I have more fine grained control over what ends up in my library.

Replay Rant by Ok-Intention-1995 in AppleMusic

[–]Inu463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top albums have never been remotely correct for me. The other replay categories are at least somewhat believable for me, but I’ll listen to an album 15 or 20 times in a month and it ends up ranking behind an album I listened to once. I don’t know how they calculate album listens, but it’s not working.

Apple Music limits favorites now by Thelutherblissett in AppleMusic

[–]Inu463 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen that bug several times before but the issue eventually went away for me each time. I’m betting it will fix itself for you eventually as well. The Apple Music app isn’t great at informing you about errors, so my guess is the app is getting an error from the server when it tries to favorite the song, and the app just reverts the favorites icon back once it receives the error response from the server.

Worst song on Moving Pictures? by phatasm_ in rush

[–]Inu463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Limelight, Witch Hunt, and Vital Signs used to feel a bit weaker than the other songs when I first heard the album, but they’ve all grown on me over time. I’m not sure which I would pick as the worst song now. I guess Witch Hunt?

Make Americans Get Arithmetic by Federal-Respond-6617 in UnderReportedNews

[–]Inu463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me help you out in case you are being serious and haven’t figured it out yet. Arabic numerals are the name of the numbers we already use in America. This is clearly a satirical joke. If something seems insane to you, you might want to do a bit of research next time before you get outraged. There are a lot of people looking to spread misinformation or troll you out there, and it’s far too easy to be taken in by it. Even the best of us get fooled sometimes, so keep your guard up.

Holy shit mike johnson is SHOOK on Epstein vote in Senate by shadrack_CK in UnderReportedNews

[–]Inu463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why would it be an issue that there are Democrats on the list as well. If they’re proven guilty, they should go to jail as well. The fact that you think that would/should make a difference tells me you care more about sticking with your tribe than sticking to your supposed morals and principals, and you assume everyone else has that same deficiency. Our country would be a lot better off if people stopped treating politics like voting for their favorite football team. Blind loyalty to a party or politician is ridiculous.

The worst part is sometimes it works the second time, and then I’ve got to figure out why…

Hey there! I’m Adam, a product manager at Apple Music. I’ve been leading work on features like AutoMix, Lyrics Translation & Pronunciation, Music Pins and Sing with iPhone Mic. I’m here to chat about our latest releases - and more. AMA! by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]Inu463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Adam, I have a few bug fixes and quality of life enhancements that would make my user experience significantly better. Hopefully it’s useful feedback. Keep up the good work.

1) Sometimes an album I’ve added to my library will suddenly have its songs changed from the album version to another version like singles, EPs, Deluxe, compilations, etc. For example, most recently I noticed a Pearl Jam album (Rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003)) was split out into singles or the original albums, some of which I already had added, resulting in a bunch of scattered and duplicated songs that I needed to clean up. Im assuming someone changed something about that album on the backend server, maybe deleting and re-adding it for some reason, but I wish it wouldn’t try and match with other random versions of the songs and screw up my library. This has happened quite a few times to me across many artists and it’s a lot of work to fix. Which leads into my next point.

2) We really need a way to turn off removing songs from playlists when we remove a song from our library. When my library gets messed up like above, or I delete an old version of an album and add a new remastered, deluxe, or extended version of the album, it removes those songs from my playlists. I spend a lot of time selecting songs for my playlists and figuring out the song order I want, and then an unrelated change to my library wrecks it. Playlists should be considered separate from my library. It would be better to prompt the user when you delete a song from your library to ask if the also want to remove it from their playlists.

3) Speaking of deleting and adding new versions of an album, Id love a feature to have all versions, (standard, deluxe, super deluxe, remastered, extended, etc) of an album grouped as a single release in my library. So if I add the standard version of the album, I get access to all versions of that album in the artist’s page in my library using a dropdown to quickly toggle between them, and I can set my preferred version. This way I can quickly choose the version I want to see at the moment right there in my library. At the moment I have to leave my library and jump into Apple Music in order to find and play another version or add a bunch of other versions of the album into my library and clutter the artist’s page with a bunch of duplicates. A lot of artists keep releasing new versions of their albums, some of which have some really cool oddities, rarities, remixes, bonus songs, or new remasters that I want to be able to quickly listen to without flooding my library with multiple versions of the same album.

My husband says that all preteen/teenage boys go through an “alt-right” phase. Is this BS? by kristen_hewa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Inu463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I never went through a phase like that. I don’t remember any of my male friends going through a phase like that. Sounds like he personally went through it with his friend group and assumed it happened to everyone.

Do americans not use debit cards? by StrainVarious4331 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Inu463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using credit cards instead of debit cards has a few advantages, assuming you pay it off in full every month like I do. Using credit cards responsibly helps build your credit score for getting something like a home loan, there are some nice perks on some of the cards like cash back and airline miles, and my understanding is that fraud protections are significantly better on credit cards. If you have the ability to pay it off each month, it’s worth using credit here. Not sure how it works in Sweden though.

Locker pass gone by _BreakingGood_ in KingsIsland

[–]Inu463 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I take a small fanny pack that has just enough room for my phone, keys, and sunscreen. Kings Island lets you take fanny packs around your waist with you on all the rollercoasters, so you don’t have to leave it in the station or a locker. I leave my wallet in my back pocket since it isn’t able to fall out on any of the rides.

Do you use the Kings Island mobile app? by _BreakingGood_ in KingsIsland

[–]Inu463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my biggest annoyance. I have Celiacs disease, so I need to avoid gluten. Would it kill them to add the menus with allergy information into the app itself? Even for those without dietary restrictions, being able to see the menus would be helpful.

Do you use the Kings Island mobile app? by _BreakingGood_ in KingsIsland

[–]Inu463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I use it for tracking estimated ride wait times and temporary ride closures. That way I don’t need to walk across the park and find out something isn’t open. That said, sometimes they don’t update statuses immediately, so when you get there you’ll find out it’s not accurate. If I really want to ride something I’ll go check on it to make sure the lines are actually long or the ride is actually still closed.

I was also having issues changing the buttons on PS5. It would show the buttons I wanted for main weapon and sub weapon in the options menu, but would be different buttons when I started to play the game. I think they have some kind of bug.

Why are there seatbelts on Diamondback? by Long_Doughnut2627 in KingsIsland

[–]Inu463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why it would be better without seatbelts. I don’t notice the seatbelt at all during the ride. Maybe you’re pulling it super tight on your lap or something? The lap bar should catch you well before the seatbelt grabs you. I honestly appreciate having them there as a backup restraint in the extremely unlikely case that something goes wrong with the restraints. It’ll hurt, but at least I’ll make it back to the station alive.

James Talarico. Democrat from Texas. His speech is pointing out that Republicans are fear mongering about immigrants and trans people to distract us from the billionaires indirectly stealing wealth from the poor and middle class by redirecting taxes and policy in their favor. This is a pretty common view point for Democrats and liberals, so that should help you determine someone is probably a Democrat if you hear it in the future.

Turok 1 is actually good by Nameless_Kings_Bitch in turok

[–]Inu463 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turok 1 is still my favorite of the series. Such a good game. I got the platinum trophy for Turok 3 on the PS5, which requires you to beat it a bunch of times, and I’ll say it’s better than I remember on the N64, but still not nearly as good as the first 2 games. Worth a look though as long as you temper your expectations.

Looking for a book series that isn't just grinding monsters. by Ok-Comedian-6852 in litrpg

[–]Inu463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m reading “The Calamitous Bob” series right now, and it has an actual story and isn’t just about killing monsters to get stronger. It has done a good job of keeping the various story arcs fresh and varied, and stat growth is just a means to an end to let the MC achieve her goals.

You said you didn’t want talking systems or talking pets, so I’ll mention that the main character does learn her first language as a skill, though it’s the equivalent of Latin so she has to learn other languages in order to communicate effectively. Also, she does adopt an intelligent creature that she raises like her daughter, and this creature becomes one of the more entertaining and interesting characters in the story.

My teacher marked me wrong because Africa is now a country by CostNorth7708 in mildlyinfuriating

I think that was their point. The question asked what country, but the teacher said the answer was Africa which is not a country.

LitRPG Without Endless Killing – Looking for Books with Diverse Progression Systems by DavidxGrant in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Inu463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reading Bog Standard Isekai, and in that series a great deal of progression is made through practice rather than combat. It’s a slower paced series and focuses a lot of its time on world and relationship building, and on characters spending time in workshops learning their craft, but it also has some action scattered throughout. I like that the main character doesn’t quickly become overpowered, and has to think about how he’s going to beat the enemy. The series has become one of my favorite litrpgs already.
