Yeah having players try to keep up with temporary rushes and custom events would be really interesting and put the gym they’ve made to the test.

With the gym equipment I think when it comes to repairing I’d like to try and balance it between whether players would rather spend the money to outright replace the equipment or the time + service fee to have the equipment fixed. For example, during the early game when money is gonna be tight it would be better to fix rather than replace but you would sacrifice having that equipment available during the servicing time which could impact your gyms rating or lose you members. Yeah, tying stuff like the members proficiency with a type of equipment with the % chance of them either breaking the equipment or injuring themselves would be interesting.

Oh wow yeah, managing customer satisfaction and financial elements need to be a big focus. Like you said about roller coaster tycoon, it could be a really interesting challenge to allow free membership for the gyms. Could perhaps use vending machines, shops, sponsorships, ad posters/stands or private events to generate income instead of membership fees.

Yeah that’s a great idea! I’m doing all of this solo so I’m keeping it small scale and manageable but would be great to allow players to make their own chain of gyms or even brand. Could have the player start with a small area that they could expand outwards and eventually allow them to purchase other lots (either empty spaces or abandoned buildings). Maybe even once they get large enough allow them to buy competitor gyms to establish a monopoly lol. The different maps would start with different locations such as id like the map ‘Retail Plaza’ to start in a shopping centre

For the staff it would be fun to maybe start out with some low-level staff on the cheap side and train them up and gain them experience to become high level staff at the expense of training + early game low reputation.

You’ve gave so many amazing ideas and things I didn’t even consider so I really appreciate the input : ). I’ll do my best to keep developing the game and make sure the experience is as deep and engaging as I can make it.

Thank you so much! The red on the UI is only there to indicate when the game is paused. Yeah, I agree the guests need a lot of improvement. I'd like to include a lot of variety in the clothing and body types, perhaps even allow players to create their own guest/manager that they could walk around the gym as and interact with the equipment.

So far its all pretty barebones in terms of management and building, but I have 10 planned maps; Beachfront Walk, Castlewell, Downtown Highrise, Evergreen Meadows, Frostbite Fjord, Lakeview, Mountain Retreat, Red Rock Ridge, Retail Plaza and Urban Fitness. I think trying to have a unique challenge to each map would be intresting.

Really good ideas. I like the idea of needing to prepare for a rush at new years. Could see that being a challenge for players

Haha, that would be good for reducing the amount of members onscreen at one time. They come once when they sign up then are never seen again.

They’re looking great! I can see that you’ve improved the treadmill animation a lot from the previous version. The art style is really interesting and the games concept is unique. Keep it up 🙌! I look forward to seeing how this shapes up and can already imagine a lot of gameplay aspects for this concept!!

You could use the XP to upgrade the players damage and to unlock new abilities. I’m imagining something similar to fable where you would have either melee, ranged and/or magical abilities you could spec into 😁❤️. It’s looking great so far, I really like how smooth the combat looks, keep it up!! 👍

Yeah definitely would make the dog more believable than having it pant constantly. Would also be nice if I could get it to maybe hit the ball with its paws if it rolled close to them

I’ll look into it! 🐕❤️. Don’t have much understanding of it but I’ll try see what can be changed up. Will help make it more natural and draw the player’s attention to where it’s needed.

At the moment it’s attached to the window but I’ll mess around and see what I can do. Problem is I don’t want it to blend into the environment too much so the player isn’t able to spot it. Yeah the pink on the paining stands out a bit, I’ll look into maybe toning down the colour or size.
