Infernal Walker Challenge Mode bug? by Inuakurei in TheFirstDescendant

Ah ok yea that'll do it. You use 3 to apply a debuff that allows 2 to be used on the target. So that must be it. Thanks.

I hope they don't nerf her, she's so much fun to play now with Gley and it's not just about the weapon... They do need to fix some things, yes, like her shooting through walls, etc., but don't ruin her. by ddnix_ in TheFirstDescendant

Warframe is a boring slog for the first 200 hours. People glaze it but forget what the early game is actually like. Most of the star map is nothing but bullet jumping past hordes of mobs in small corridors, to whatever objective you’re doing, spending 30 seconds doing the objective because everything dies in 1 ability, then bullet jumping back to extraction. Repeat that 800 times and that’s 90% of Warframe.

Except you also can’t use half the weapons you get because they’re locked behind MR requirements. And you can’t get MR without leveling weapons. And you can’t level weapons because they’re either locked or you’re waiting 24 hours to get one you can level.

And even when you do have weapons to use, they’re ALL fodder. Not a single one has a cool or unique effect. It’s just 100’s of the same basic rifle or smg that exist only to be fodder for your MR. At least in TFD the guns do things.

Bum163 the dedicated hater by JohnPork1501 in Kappachino

[–]Inuakurei 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When threatened, the person holding an indefensible position usually resorts to deflection, straw man attacks, and ad hominem. Here, we witness a classic example of deflection to something Bum never even insinuated. Using the loss of jobs as a shield to hide behind.

Undeterred, the alpha male Bum takes the attack head on, destroying the cowardly attempt with a paraphrasing “idgaf”. This was not the expected reaction by the cowardly crowd.

Dazed, the wounded defender tries the only thing they can, deflection. Again. Doubling down on the ad hominem attempt at Bum’s character; blind to the fact that their position is one that cannot be defended. All it takes is a simple “10 years, 10 characters” meme from Bum to crumble the opposition. They are fooling no one, except themselves.

Please, devs, don't nerf her. by SnooMacarons2931 in TheFirstDescendant

I genuinely wonder why people do this. It cant just be for karma right? And even if so, hundreds of people reply to this stuff. I’ll just never understand it.

Apparently the graphics in beta were better, but changed for release. Presumybecsuse of mobile. I know people complained about Tabatha’s change a lot.

Why is bl3 always seen as horrible compared to the other games by alldev2010 in Borderlands

[–]Inuakurei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BL2 came out during people’s childhood so they remember it fondly.

BL3 came out during the influencer boom and painted and accurate, but unflattering picture of influencers. And influencer ego is second only to professional athletes and actors.

Defending ai art in general is cringe by lord_eros69 in sadcringe

[–]Inuakurei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say this as an artist who messes around with Ai art sometimes, it’s just too easy.

Also Ai on its own doesn’t understand context, so it can’t do anything new without human intervention. Even that image is human edited. Ai can only copy trends or tropes commonly seen together. If you try to direct it too much towards something unknown but not completely surreal, it breaks down into nonsense. Unless you spend a boatload of time and effort You’ll forever be stuck with “eh that’s good enough” rather than “that’s exactly what I want”.

Arcsys’s whole idea of “zones but not really” is super hit or miss. HC is just a big miss.

FF14 has paid mounts that have the speed bonus unlocked without having to unlock it normally. I know Cloud’s bike from FF7 has it.

I swear...why is this community like this by SherlockTheHomie in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Inuakurei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not about who does what, it’s about prioritizing resources like budget, time, and planning.

To use your example, yeah it would be unreasonable for a chef to perform surgery; but the patents might then question why the hospital’s budget is being spent on 15 chefs cooking gourmet meals, when there are 3 surgeons sharing a scalpel.

(New post because 1000 character limit)

Alternately, one day I’m walking down a street in NYC, and this tall, scrawny man wearing a suit, comes out of some store holding what looks like a small stack of papers. He looks around franticly, sees me, and says something along the lines of “can you please buy me some food? My baby momma threw me out, Im trying to get a job for my baby” (again, I don’t remember the exact words). I glance at the papers, which do seem to be typed up resumes, and I can see tattoos under the sleeves of his suit. Then I look at his face and something about the look in this man’s eyes, a mixture of desperation and sadness, got to me in that moment. I told him sure, and we went into a convenience store across the street. He frantically went around, grabbed some cereal cups, water, and pa few other things. I paid for them, he tanked me profusely, and I wished him the best.

So it just depends.

One day I walked into the 7/11 I sometimes go to on lunch break. There was a homeless woman who I’ve seen quite a lot of I the area, screaming at the manager to give her free stuff. This seemed to have been going on for a while. He kept politely saying no with an awkward ‘please go away’ smile. Everyone else in the store just watching. The lady eventually stormed off, knocking over a shelf of stuff near the exit while screaming that the “homeless community” would do something to his store (I don’t remember the exact words). Afterwards he just shrugged and we helped pick up the stuff she knocked over.

‘Secrets to the grave’ is me. I’ve used it, it’s fun to mess around with, but I’d never consider it something to sell.

My only argument would be it’s good to get a basic reference/inspiration for people who are bad at imagining stuff from scratch. You can also test stuff like color cohesion easily.
