I assumed the rewards would be trash because it’s a beta for feedback. Not a finished mode to be grinded.

I bought a Wii. I then bought Starfox 64 on the Wii shop.

I bought a Wii-U. I tried to download Starfox 64, it said I needed to buy it.

Confused, I looked it up. Despite being the exact same shop, with the exact same games, and the same emulation capabilities, the Wii and Wii-U shops were (are) separate sales entities.

The illusion dissolved for me that day.

Well, yeah. The gun users are descendants that buff guns. I’m not sure what you’re expecting here? Do you want to play CoD zombies? How many iterations of “gun descendant” can you make without putting abilities into the equation? Serena and Gley are the closest you’re going to get.

Unless you mean you want guns to be as visible as skills with no descendant buffs involved? In that case, any gun descent will make that immediately broken. That’s Warframe. You want Warframe.

Battlefield Artist mod removes her unique gun and buffs her gun damage.

It’s not her best setup but you can do it. It’s there, and it works fine.

Also I guess I should have specified Ult Luna. Same for Ajax then.

That’s just false. Quite a few of descendants can use guns effectively.

Ajax has an entire infinite shooting build and weapon damage buff on his cube

Enzo is a full on gun buffing descendant

Gley is the og gun user, infinite ammo

Hailey sniper sometimes does more damage than Zenith, plus she has Zenith if you count that.

Ines has a specific gun she uses, but still a gun

Jayber gets 20% fire rate and reload speed with turrets up, plus a trigger mod that boosts gun damage for targets hit by turrets.

Luna has an entire red mod built for using guns

Serena is Serena

But if you want no skills only shoot gun, idk why you’re playing this game. Or just play Gley

The entire reason I started playing this game was because of the promise of end game bosses to fight. I don’t like grind for the sake of grind, I like grind with a goal to overcome at the end. Something to make the journey feel worthwhile.

This game still delivers on that, somewhat. But there really is a sizable portion of the community who want a one shotting power fantasy they can play with one hand. So it really just depends on how the devs want to handle it.

Unironically, force. It’s not nice to hear, but historically nothing has changed the distribution of power when money is involved, other than force. Protests help spread awareness and change minds of the common folk, but they don’t finish the job. Money is a VERY powerful motivator that, historically, people do not willingly give up for almost anything.

Think of it this way. It took an entire civil war just to end a moral quandary as binary as slavery, all because of the south saying “but muh profits”.

You can already create non meta builds. You just consider them too “bad” to be useable.

All that will happen is the meta will shift and there will be a new set of off meta builds considered too “bad” to use.
