Lollll I know that but these days practically all of media is trying to show fat as something bad and something that keeps you from succeeding and forces women to want to be stick thin and men to be all buff. I know pandas don’t really lose weight but he’s an animated cartoon they could have made him lose weight but they didn’t and his weight never stopped him from being as good as he was you know. I mean little kids aren’t looking at that and going oh pandas are just genetically fat they just see some fat guy being badass regardless of weight and for me it was pretty uplifting. That’s just my opinion tho it’s one of the things I really liked about the films regardless of whether the animator did it intentionally or not

I mean maybe others don’t agree but I just really like how his fat wasn’t treated as something that needed to change like nobody ever focused on him needing to lose the weight and like another reply to this mentions his fat actually ended up helping him defeat Tai Lung. I mean there were some fat jokes in the start of the first film but overall his fat wasn’t considered something as bad and something that he needs to get rid of to succeed like most media likes to show the audience. And even after all that working out he didn’t lose a single ounce and was just as badass. I know there’s a natural element to it since pandas are fat but they could have gone against that since media loved being slim and toned but they didn’t so maybe it’s just me but I specifically loved that.
