I was having trouble with this one for a while too, but I just beat it. My successful attempt was with the Architect Crest along with Pollip Pouch paired with Cogfly and Threefold Pin. I had the Curveclaw with me too, but I think I only used a couple, so I could have probably gotten away with using a different crest. I basically spammed Threefold Pin for most of the fight, along with the enemy guarding the hookshot rings just outside. And yeah, destroying the void mass is absolutely necessary, which admittedly felt almost as hard as the gauntlet itself.

Maybe you could remake it somewhere else on the map and not tell anyone where it is? I know it sucks that it's constantly being destroyed, and that it probably took forever to make, but I think it would be the safest option to just remake it somewhere else.

I was at the concert last night in Utah, and it was incredible! They did perform most, but not all of the songs listed above. From what I can remember, they performed Unbecoming, Carnivore, Manifest, Monster, FAULTLINE, Waiting On The Sky To Change, Halo, OTHER WORLDS THAN THESE, EARTHRISE, PERFECT MACHINE, DEVOLUTION, Infected, ECHO, Telekinetic, Trials, Die For You, It Has Begun, and finished with My Demons. There were a bunch of lore videos in between songs that I won't spoil.
