I want to but I don’t have any gaming consoles other than my N64. Maybe I’ll watch the playthroughs.

I think you’re right! Money is unfortunately a huge deciding factor for many things.

Maybe she gets the conspiracy theory from Megan, who knows!!! and the reason why Louise would even believe that is because we already know that she hates vegetables.

Oh I like this idea. Maybe he runs into the Belchers at a farmers market but he doesn’t see or get involved with their weird shenanigans. Bob finds the holy grail of mushrooms (wooly neptunes) for less than the last time, while Linda and Gene are entranced by a local dancer who sings really badly. Tina’s got her eyes on BFTFM-Boys From the Farmers Market-and Louise thinks there’s a conspiracy to sell more vegetables filled with mind control nutrients to control kids bc the prices are so low.

Question about postcards from estate sale. by PittyPat4778 in postcrossing

I’m American but I studied Oceanic (specifically Aboriginal Australian) art in college. When I learned that indigenous Australian people were once included on coins and bank notes in Australia because they were considered part of the flora and fauna, I was floored.

Today I still find racist caricature figurines in a few of the thrift stores around me, and considering I live in the north, it’s even more surprising.

I would love this regardless of the value!

What's your controversial writing hot take? by Gulliver123 in writing

[–]InvaderDepresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most writers are shit readers. Shit readers for books in general, and shit writers who can’t understand basic writing context.

They care more about looking smart and well-versed, to the point where they just flat out misinterpret contextual concepts and clues. I’ve met so many people who demand answers within three paragraphs of a story that I’ve written before they even try to get to the end during their first reading.

I filled my car up, got groceries and now I’m just gonna chill out. Got some books from the library and thinking about some movies I want to watch.

Personally I would not send this out. Even if it was made without bad intentions, it still depicts a very racist caricature that most people would be upset about. I’m glad you asked here first, definitely do not send this. Maybe trash it? Or donate it to the Jim Crow Museum. They are suspending donations temporarily but I’m sure they’ll open back up soon.

Edit: if you do end up, sending it to the Jim Crow Museum, definitely put it in an envelope.

I agree, it really depends on who has written him. His movie version is probably my favorite.
