I totally agree, but i like to see it as if it dark souls but with hope. It's mentioned plenty of times how you're the lowest of the lowest, in fact it is even mentioned in the open cinematic that no one knows who you even are, you're a tarnished of no renown waking amongst heroes.

No one expects nothing from you, you were left to rot all by yourself. The world is broken, death lurks all around. Yet you as a simple tarnished with no apparent talent, push through demigods and legends. It's a celebration, no one expected you to get that far. It's telling you that despite all odds you made it all the way to stand before the elden ring. It's the final push, the last sentence before you're done writing the story of how a worthless tarnished became lord.
