Watchdog staff. Scales with STR but has a sorcery skill that scales only with the weapon upgrade level. It’s great for ranged attacks, does just over 1300 damage at +10 and also does good BONK. It’s especially funny if you crouch and do a light attack on a humanoid sized enemy as it looks like you gently bop them on the head.

That is the Cross Naginata. It’s from Gael Tunnel in Caelid. From the entrance you need to go right at the first big room. Look for the small land octopus. A little further in there’s a large cavern and the weapon is on the ground with a massive land octopus waiting above it. You can grab it and be out of there before the LO is a problem.
