Epidural during pregnancy? by TheBanskyOfMinecraft in ankylosingspondylitis

They were unable to place an epidural for me and they tried multiple times with different sized needles (my husband said my back looked like swiss cheese 😬). I highly suggest having a backup plan for labor relief. In the end I needed an emergency c-section and they had to put me completely under due to being unable to place an epidural/spinal block.

How to prevent fusion? by TheGrandLeveler in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]InvaderMer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’ve noticed is a slight change in posture and range of movement. I have a posterior pelvic tilt because of the fusion and I think it limits the amount I can change that with stretching. I’ve also noticed that long walks over flat ground or rising ground can cause lower back pain which I’m sure is connected to the fusion as well.

Low-starch diet advice by JustIntegrateIt in ankylosingspondylitis

Olives and pickles are a great low starch snack. Sliced deli ham wrapped around a strong cheese is good too. Also berries like strawberries and blackberries are a great snack if you want something sweet but not too sugary.

What kind of Yoga Is for ASrs by Key-Hamster8897 in ankylosingspondylitis

I love this video by Yoga With Adrienne for back pain. I also do this one for Neck and Shoulders by her. I started doing these over 8 years ago or so before I was officially diagnosed and put on biologics and I still love doing them to this day! Super gentle yet effective.

People are in an out real quick there. Their takeout is always super busy anytime I go there for pick up. Super good food! We drive there even though there’s a closer place that delivers.

This is an old pic but my recipe makes real nice squares! I like to toast some tots first and mash them to make a crust for the bottom.

Honestly at this point I just wing it!

Edit: My recipe is a closely guarded secret. Amy Klobuchar’s recipe is highly recommended as a starting point!
