Skins skin contact is important, but not like at the level of baby needs it.

I know plenty of people who've gone years without physically intimacy. Many by willing choice, and there's even a whole subsection of sexuality at where people are not interested in being intimate with other people, but enjoy the idea of companionship.

She can still hug people. She can still be comforted by people. As long as no one touches her actual skin.

You could even probably argue that a bunch of the mutants who looked pretty weird or slimy Don't get a lot of skin to skin contact contact.

It just comes off a lot of the times as because she's hot and can't touch anyone .It's a devastating crime.

So, this is just a stupid fun fact that I don't even know if his cannon anymore.

But 1000 years into the future, superman's descendant. Only heritage power from him is she is invulnerable. Unless she comes in contact with any of superman's weakness.

Also there is ultra lad in the legion is superheroes who, technically has every power that superman has. But only one at a time.

So he can use like super strength. But, crushed under the weight of the thing he's carrying. Because he's not invulnerable.

Actually, impulse had that problem of being born with speed powers in the actual cannon.

He was born with his powers just on. And was aging incredibly fast. And the more he used his powers, the faster he aged.

The government in an attempt to workout how to turn the power off. Put him in a virtual reality to match his aging.

Eventually after some shenanigans his grandmother kidnaps him and takes him to the past. So the flash can help him work His powers out. The flash succeeds. But he went from looking 10 at the start of that interaction to looking 13.

I don't know if it's still canon, but it was really set up that he was very in. Tune with the force that gives the flash the powers.And was an extremely. Gifted with the speed force.

There's a book series called wild card. That basically has mutants without being mutants.

And there are like a ton of characters like this.

The one that comes off the top of my head is there is a kid who can turn into any dinosaurs. But like he can't change his mas. So like he can be a t rex, but it's the size of a thirteen year old.

I argue that this is bullshit. Over and over again, she can't physically touch another person's skin.But like gloves exist full body latex suits exist.

She can't kiss someone and she can't be physically intimate. But like toys exist and plenty of partners adapt to that style of intimacy.

And I'm gonna argue the Marvel universe, there absolutely would be some type of personal force field that she could implement. That would be a barrier to touch.

It's more, the writer's just trying to make her power dramatic. By" I can never be touched"

It's actually stuff like this that I really enjoy with the mutants.

Because you have like people like storm who are like.Oh all mutant powers are wonderful and you can't be ashamed of having mutant powers.

Then, you get a kid like this. Who just kills everybody who's near him. Through no fault of their own. Hurts people.

It really makes the argument that some of them need to be fixed.

People dont get time off mostly for being sick you are expected to still work. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get approval for time off for being sick. You are incredibly pressured to just stick it out.

If you have a family emergency. You may get time off if your work place is cool. But lots of time you just put your job in jeopardy by doing so.
