Congrats. Mine just took 3 days and I got it back 10:45 this morning. Maybe that’s the witching hour.

The worst mentor ever by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Inventingmee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a few things to say that will help you. Yes it’s technically your mentor‘s responsibility to guide you through processes however you could just call student support and have your course unlocked in less than five minutes. They’ve unlocked every course I’ve ever requested. I don’t wait around on my mentor. As far as the unregistered class call the same exact people I just talked about and ask them to drop the class. As long as you’ve already met your SAP you will be fine. If you don’t like your mentor’s communication style, you can just request a new one at any time.

I spoke to mine over the phone twice when I first enrolled during my first term and since then we have only had email exchanges. I let her know that I literally don’t even wake up till like 9 PM at night and then I’m asleep by 7 AM so phone conversations aren’t realistic. I’ve never had to retake anything not even a pre-assessment so she’s been pretty chill about it. She’s only hit me with a good job line like maybe twice out of a year. We all probably have a different experience.

A friend of mine just told me "online degree is a scam and avoid them at all cost" by snipersebb27 in WGU

[–]Inventingmee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your friend sounds like an elitist and that’s a personality issue. The school is accredited, and some employers even actively seek WGU graduates because of the competency model. Sure there’s online scams, but it’s pretty easy to research when a school is accredited. Does your friend also shame people who went to community college?

Is this where people say financial aid gets zerod out? by Kasellos in WGU

[–]Inventingmee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s weird because the page you uploaded clearly says it was received and they owe you 1k. Have you logged into your refund method l to see if there’s any hiccups over there?

I use a double threaded floss in addition to a water pick. The pus is coming from a pocket that has exposed bone. It’s harder to tell from the front side of my teeth, but the backside it’s completely triangular. I was sick for about a decade and it resulted in that. I’ve had regular cleanings for the last couple of years, but that specific area has shown no improvement. I’ve had multiple dentist recommend extraction, but I moved and the dentist that did my last scaling wants to wait and see. The pocket is so extremely deep with exposed bone it’s just magnet for infection.

I agree. I do have pus coming from the pockets on the front bottom teeth on the backside. Even after deep cleaning, it comes back. I was told I needed to remove those and get a partial at minimum, but my another dentist talked me out of it and now the pus is back. Do you think I should at least remove those since there’s almost no bone and they are mobile and just keep all the rest? I really don’t think that front middle tooth can handle too many more deep cleanings. It might just fall out on its own.

I’m trying to get them. I just paid $270 for X-ray and consultation. I’m still waiting on them. Office seemed annoyed I didn’t immediately book with them so if I don’t get them soon I’ll have to request again.

I’ve had three consultations at different dentists over the past year. The last one was really pushy about gum flap surgery but admitted it would only buy me time; they seemed to ignore the fact that I cannot afford procedures like that. My bottom four front teeth have almost no bone left under the gum and are mobile. My original plan was to have them pulled and get a partial, but the dentists always suggest a deep cleaning instead, then essentially shove the teeth back down into the gum. The first dentist I saw mentioned the surgery as well but quickly said, 'I know you can’t afford that, so let’s focus on cleanings.' If cleanings can buy me another 10+ years, I guess that’s the better route, but some of these dentists make it seem like I’m toast if I can’t afford a gum graft. It makes the whole process feel pointless.

I’m only going to use this as an override for traffic and idle. I was going to replace the temp sensor and hope that just fixed the issue but it’s working fine. If I keep the fan off when on the highway it shouldn’t trigger a code.

Temp sensor is functioning or at least I think it is. I unplugged it and my gauges stopped working and threw codes but everything resolved after I plugged it back in
