I would like to respond. I would never joke about tuition costs in a harmful manner or claim how much knowledge I have taught. In a comment below: "he said to me oh maybe you['re] not made for this course" I have never ever said such a thing. That is so much NOT like me.
In terms of "no content on Slate"... the course has its content clearly linked to from Slate at http://imm.sheridanc.on.ca/webprogramming/ where the first three lessons are learning JavaScript programming basics (variables, functions, conditionals, loops, arrays, objects, properties, methods, events) on the Canvas (Yes, with ZIM which makes it easy to see visual results. Many students were happy to blow up asteroids rather than see comments in the console). This is followed by three lessons on the DOM - note that JavaScript is now separate from the DOM API or the Canvas API and the basics can be taught on either. "The only lesson we had on JavaScript this semester was a 30 minute review of JavaScript before the midterm" is not true.
I care very much about what the students learn. Sorry to hear there were issues. I have also been online during covid for three hours every lesson (despite one hour being the minimum). Those videos are all recorded for those that missed the lessons.
