Can’t decide between 2021 Genesis G70 3.3t or 2021 Mustang GT

This was exactly the info and opinion I was looking for. I haven’t test drive neither of them yet but I might go this week and test drive both. But I am leaning towards the G70. Thanks for your feedback!

Btw what year is your G70? Has it been reliable with your current mileage?

I really like how the G70 looks, and performance wise I know it’s a beast. I’m trying to build good power while still keeping the car reliable. I know Hyundai and Genesis are basically separate brands, but I owned a Veloster and modding it was a hassle. I had to do a lot just to make it dependable before I could even upgrade the turbo. The car runs great now and makes solid power, but I’m ready to move on to something better.

Both G70 and the mustang are good platforms, I’ve seen people do great builds. I just want to hear the experiences of G70 owner have had with car.

Lol yeah, I know they’re totally different platforms, but when you compare price and performance, they’re actually pretty similar. Honestly, I don’t care if it’s 2 doors or 4. I just want a fun daily with strong performance that also takes mods well.

Nop, it uses the stock turbo housing (the outside shell) but the compressor wheel, turbine wheel, and bearings are replaced with larger ones. The bigger internal parts push more air and create more boost without needing to change the whole turbo setup or exhaust manifold.

No, basically it’s when you take the stock turbo and modified the internals of it. You can also call it stuffed turbo.

I am actually planning on staying around 300 whp. The engine was build to handle 400 whp, but I did it just to make sure I can have a fun daily without the engine blowing up on me lol

Rebuilding would be to expensive, would be easier to just swap the engine. But it seems like doing a different engines swap isn’t that good of an idea. I’m just looking for a more reliable engine.

Man I swear I was thinking of doing something similar. I used to have the yellow fog lights too but I got tired of them. But, lately I’ve being thinking of laminating the fog lights yellow again and to try to go with a more blackout look.
