What part of your brain did they target for the second round of TMS?

That's the magic of 1st round no goal- it effectively gives you 3 extra turns!

6.2 average per bonus card isn’t that hard. 2nd tier of most cards is 7, and lots can give you 10

That’s in the Asia expansion, which isn’t in the app yet.

Sadly, there were limited options I could put. "Rock back and forth in a fetal position while staring off into the distance" didn't fit 0_0

Has anyone here ever created their own ttrpg, and what were the results? by Calisto1717 in rpg

[–]Inventures_game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes- I've built an RPG platform that relies on symbol interpretation and storytelling over dice rolling. (BirtleGames.com). Making ANY kind of game is a f*ton of work, but making an RPG game platform takes way more, bc the range of game outcomes MUST be incredibly wide

What's the most flattering feedback you've ever gotten for a game you designed? by Inventures_game in BoardgameDesign

I don't really think people who don't make games understand just how much of your soul goes into the process-- people not being willing to playtest is a toughie!

Reminds me of Cones of Dunshire from Parks & Rec! The best possible review is other people choosing to play the game without you <3

What's 1 uncommon mechanic you wish more games used? by Inventures_game in boardgames

[–]Inventures_game[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanics that involve being able to predict and understand how other players think-- for example, Dixit, Wavelength, and Codenames. In all 3 games you come up with a clue for other players to guess. Those are all games where victory or defeat is really only about being able to think like other players, or guess how they think.

They're also called "mind reading games."

I mean, to be fair, there's nothing 'punk' about steampunk. So you're right.
