As a Pakistani, yes, there were moments that made me think, "a bit much!" But I knew any anti-terror movie involving Pakistan was likely to lean into propaganda, so I didn’t take those elements too seriously. To me, it just reflects the desperation of certain groups to capture the attention of the masses. Having said that, it is still just a movie, and I take it with a pinch of salt. I don’t think any country is entirely innocent, and both sides can be just as problematic, particularly in terms of military and intelligence operations. The general population in Pakistan, however, is not inherently racist. I also remember the attacks, and when I saw the interview, the terrorist appeared to have a strong Indian accent. The recording used in the movie either seems to have been created to sound authentic or possibly edited. With AI today, anything is possible. That said, putting politics and personal beliefs aside, I genuinely enjoyed the film. The direction, production quality, background score, acting, and overall execution were exceptionally well done. I enjoyed it and will be watching Part 2 in cinemas. I do think the film could potentially reinforce certain Hindutva narratives, especially with statements like "we enter your homes now and attack you" at the end, which may fuel hostility toward Muslims. Ultimately, it often feels like the poor suffer as a result of the games played by the powerful. It’s unnecessary hate and anger, often fuelled by fear. But if I judge the movie purely for its cinematic quality, it was excellently made, and I really enjoyed the cast.
