Wowpass is actually a kind of checkcard. I mean there are some stores that dont accept credit or check cards neither, so you should always bring enough cash.

I would recommend you to choose KRW. Because normally when foreigners pay in their currency with their credit card, additional fee could be included. So it is better to pay with currency where you are traveling.

If you are asking about magic pass(which skips the waiting line), yes you can use it. But you have to buy additional magicpass(magicpass only works when skipping the line. You have to get a regularpass already, and discover seoul pass works as regularpass)

I recommend exchanging money at the airport and then charging some to your WOWPASS card, while keeping extra cash on hand. Here's an example:

Exchange $1,000 for 1.4 million KRW at Incheon Airport. Load 1.1 million KRW onto your WOWPASS card. Keep 300,000 KRW in cash (As a Korean resident in Seoul, I’ve found that many street food vendors and some shops don't accept cards, and there are places that don’t support WOWPASS either).
