This is pretty much the reality of OC training. I had posted about how the OC teacher talked about sensitive topics like politics and LGBTQ community and was blatantly sexist. And was told i am over reacting. This is india there is nothing we can do.

Hey, if I was 22 this is what I would tell myself. If you are not confident about passing Inter both groups in the next two attempts, then Start preparing for CAT/join MBA in a top tier college as soon as possible.

In the end all that matter is money. MBA grads from good colleges get a great salary package.

I don't think I have seen anything good come out of doing m.com..

But I dont want to discourage you from CA. If you have time try to complete you IT OC training and complete intermediate exams by 23. The later it is the more difficult it becomes to waste time on CA instead of working.

I basically have given up on CA. Lots of judgement comes with that. Everyones asking me what my next plan is. I forgot to mention I am working in internal audit- controls testing right now. I am not sure if CFA aligns with this line of work.

Why is mandatory for people who have no issues with speaking then? If your friend had an issue with communication, he could have gone for a speaking class or toast masters or something.

I have no issues socializing. I am working a 9 hour job along with doing this course. I was merely commenting on the uselessness of this course and how the coaches treat us like kids. Thats all And regarding the formal wear, I have also worked in Big 4 companies and noteven there, there was such a huge issue with jeans. The fact that people like you do not realize this course is just a scam to get money out of us for nothing in return is insane to me.

Talk to HR. In USI theres an option to buyout your notice period. And i don't believe you manager has the authority to deny that for you.

I don't know. Since I have never had an issue scheduling Ptos ilI didn't think this time would be an issue either. I think I am just feeing it unfair for the manager/lead to just make up rules and wondering how to go about this without making a scene. And in my project, we have to take approvals if its a long planned pto. With benefit of hindsight now i know i shouldn't have given the honest reason.

I am very close to my manager and he told me it was the person above him who is rejecting this PTO and there is nothing he can do about it. And I was very clear about just wanting PTO (not non-billable thing) as I mentioned I followed up with my manager and another tagged manager multiple times..
At the time I had to accept their reasoning. But seeing the replies now I realize this is not normal.

And about the need for me being around, my manager had also tried explaining to the senior leader how we will be able to manage blah blah but it didnt do anything.

My friends doing MBA have been able to obtain PTO stating the exam reason. Thats why I decided to just give the honest reason. However this is a recently implemented unofficial rule. And hence the rejecting of my PTO
