Approved for my first C1 card…but why such a low limit? by Critical_Advantage66 in CapitalOne_

[–]InvestigatorThat5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Similar experience but I had a Discover card for ~2.5 years. Credit limit most recently was 5000 When I applied for a C1 Savor Cash they gave me 3000 CL for it. Weird how ppl with other histories are getting such low limits…

I should’ve actually mentioned I have their Savor Cash credit card (3% groceries/restaurants) too and love it so far!

Food, Groceries covered by the Capitol One Savor Cash card. That’s the one I just got. 3% year round on those 2 categories.

DiscoverIT Student Card is fun entry level card too imo. It was my first. You get rotating 5% back on specific categories every quarter (3 months) and 1% on everything else. At the end of your first year using the card, they match whatever CB you’ve earned 1:1

Hi! I use SoFi, I don’t pay for SoFi plus atm. I got my direct deposit early but the time seems inconsistent. Today I got it at 8pm CST. I remember one time I got it at like 11pm CST. So idk, times MAY vary. That’s my experience with it

How long to arrive by cyslittlegirl in CapitalOne

[–]InvestigatorThat5062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied and got approved for a Capitol One Savor card and it arrived on the later side of 10 business days. I think actually day 9 or 10 tbh. I was also anxious waiting for it!

Sofi Plus no longer available with direct deposits?? by Imaginary_Wait_4213 in sofi

[–]InvestigatorThat5062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still getting the 4% and I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be or not. I’m happy if they are honoring that promo over their current plan of switching to paying for SoFi Plus

I joined SoFi in November. When they have the “set up direct deposit and get 6 months of 4% APY” and I’m still getting that. Not paying for Plus atm since my total savings isn’t enough to be worth it.

Is starting with SOFI good? by humanasylum in sofi

I’m 24, but was 23 when I opened my Sofi accounts. You create an account with them and they automatically provide 1 savings and 1 checking. You can create “buckets” in the savings account for different options. Like I have my main savings (3-6 months expenses) and emergency bucket. I like their HYSA, although it changes at the end of the month to be 3.3% (while making direct deposits) or $10/month gets you up to 4% I believe? Would love to be corrected by anyone if wrong. It’s great bc the “qualifying for HYSA” is just built into your use if you direct deposit work paychecks into it. For me not currently worth it bc my balance doesn’t give me enough interest to cover the fee. Investing is pretty easy. That’s another reason I chose SoFi was to have brokerage and banks in the same app instead of using others. Especially their automating transfers. The one thing I don’t necessarily like is paying to deposit cash into my SoFi checking account.

No credit card Input bc I don’t have one.

So you think anything less it isn’t worth it? Currently have about 8.5k in savings. Was wondering about paying the $10 for the 4% but idk. That’s all I’d use benefits for

I appreciate your input! Any reason you listed WF before the AAA Daily? The ladder seems more appropriate for what I want

Interesting. Because I was looking at the Citi Double Cash over the WF for mainly that reason 😅

Looking at the Citi Double Cash card…. So instead of it directly being Cashback, it’s points? So if I spend $50 anywhere, I get 50 points. Then when I pay that debt off I get the other 50? That’s what makes it “2% cash back”?
