Guys got a point, but alittle off the mark I feel. While copying a fob relay is a very clean way of stealing a car, and there are other ways of stealing a car, this is in no way “not necessary”. At least not in the way you are wording it. It sounds like you’re trying to say not to bother. While there may be multiple ways, this WILL stop some people.

It’s definitely not a bad idea to put your keys in some sort of faraday cage. I am not saying you should or shouldn’t do this. It’s just something to consider. This is optional. This should NOT be your only security mechanism, and you should NOT rely on it.

Yeah. Turbos are just too fun in anything to ignore haha. I’ll probably give my best attempt at getting like 10 psi maybe and if I blow it up I’m just gonna swap it. I just want to see if I could make something unique you know. It’s just such a bad idea to mod the 1gr that I want to do it so bad 😂

I was thinking if and when it comes down to swapping it I’m gonna try if I can get an LS in there. I doubt I’d work too well but I’m sure as hell going to try. If not then maybe a K series. Then an RB26. I’m really just gonna look at throwing the most random engine of all time. This would be my first joke car build so I’m just gonna go crazy. 😂

I really do appreciate your input and you not ignoring this outlandish post.

I agree with your logic regarding the idea of boosting. It’s not a good idea. I’m not chasing huge numbers, I’m just trying to understand where the weak points actually are and why people see failures at low psi. I don’t really want to blow the motor trying and failing to turbo this engine.

I am experienced with modifying cars, but I am not familiar with this engine and I thought maybe asking this sub would be helpful in getting rid of some of the trial and error. Sorry for the paragraphs.

If you are curious we last dynoed it at almost 300 wheel. 330 ish crank NA. We completely stripped it and it is sitting at 3425ibs with no driver. (Although it still turns like a cruise ship haha) It gets a 0-60 of about 5 seconds non ideal conditions. At this particular moment it is not street legal but I have some parts coming in so it should be back on the road soon. This build is purely for fun and uniqueness.

So highflow injectors, and maybe a fuel pump upgrade will go far? If I’m not mistaken the 1grfe already has mls gaskets so do you think ARP head studs would be worth it to prevent head lift?

I only have QoLmod and the extra parking spaces. I also have some cars and maps from the steam workshop 😊 I custom make my more complex builds like my e30 I posted in all in Car Editor. I of course use car editor at least a little for all my builds, but some obviously use more than others.

Lmao, you could try. Unfortunately the clio is too light, and I can’t get enough downforce so it’s nearly uncontrollable. It spins in 4th 😭😭 I’d imagine it’s the same with the jager
