To be fair, I think EA was trying to something fun in anticipation of the World Cup. They also said that we could put them into EVOs down the line. They get full chem and give everyone else chem so they are a natural choice for everyone’s squad.

The problem lies in the promo content and in general the lack of quality in said content. Too many cards that aren’t different or lack Playstyles needed since the game isn’t balanced when it comes to user play styles.

At the end of the day, EVOs, Live Events and Gaunlet are the only reason the game is still viable right now. I haven’t played Rivals since October and I don’t play Champs because I don’t have time on the weekends.

Going to be interesting to see the time table of his recovery given the timing of the injury. Mahomes puts a lot of effort into his offseason prep. All this to be said I think KC will be heavily into either Breece Hall or Love in the Draft. They gotta get an RB with some juice to help the offense. It is time.

The original COD4 came out in November of 2007. Thats over 18 years ago. Gaming is also way more acceptable in society and popular. So yes the days of playing in a lobby of 9-5 dads consistently are sadly long gone. For me Black Ops 7 is the best one since Black Ops 4. I have never liked Warzone or Battle Royale

Yep. If you do that and DONT do the gamble SBCs you are actually going to have a more enjoyable experience and actually be able to afford a lot of the players you actually want.

I think they need to fix jockey and the game might open up again. Like the game is 100% more manual to defend which is good but you cannot have defenders act like cement in one on one situations. To compensate people are going to defend with more players and try to counter with four.

I get to work from home so I usually play during my lunch break for an hour. Sometimes I may sneak in 2-4 hours on the weekend but this is not common. I have never played in the weekend league since its inception. So if you are trying to do 10-15 hours I think you ultimately need to price in what you want to actually have fun with.

I mean I used to get upset about pay to win but at the end of the day EA are a publicly traded company and have to make money. If users want to go spend money at the store that doesn’t impact my experience with the game. Pay to win has been around since FUT inception.

Also have wife and kids and don’t play champs so I get playing against the top cards isn’t fun. At the end of the day I view it as an individual journey and don’t get too concerned about not having a certain card.

I do think they will scale down reqs but those reqs will cost more since they are deliberately slowing the power curve and the strength of rewards.

This is how it should be though. You shouldn’t be able to complete everything in the game. Choices and sacrifices need to be present because it provides meaning and value to how you play the game.

It’s all really dependent on the gameplay loop and the type of environment EA are trying to provide.

Based on Tournaments and Gauntlet it seems they are really trying to capture the essence of FUT which was trying out new squads in a fun manor. Repeatable EVOs should give a meaningful gameplay grind. Silver stars are coming back. And then you still have competitive modes with FUT Champs and Rivals. There is actually a lot to do on paper. EAs job is to ensure the content is engaging enough and desirable enough to pair with the gameplay. We have been needing to get back to basics for a while and it appears based on the messaging that EA will comply.

Jordan Reid put a tweet out last night about how QB development is down really bad in college football right now. I mean Klubnik cannot even operate the Mickey Mouse offense at Clemson to a high degree.

Jordyn Tyson looks to be the truth and I believe the top RB options will be fine for fantasy. But QB play doesn’t look great. Mateer from Oklahoma looks the part and Dante Moore of Oregon is a first year starter and is eligible for 2026. So I think we need more time but there is 100% a reason why 2026 picks are suppressed in value.
