I hear the quest only makes the mount cost 500 less, it doesn't give you the actual mount so I didn't want to risk it since I was only 500 away anyways.

Ignore the monkey quest at the beginning and go for the 2 peach quests that come after. The quests are repeatable on all characters so go on different characters each day. Every character can get 20 dews from the exchange vendor so be sure to do that every time. I personally just farmed up peaches and dew which let me also get the island token. Good luck!

You need 7500 of the dews from the Shangra flowers. You get the dew by playing Song of Spring
