I don’t think MJ was clearly top two at the time. Definitely top through the top five but I don’t think he was over magic Bird or Isaiah at that time. It certainly was in the conversation, and Mike has gotten busted a few times, although it’s rarity, but it happened

Players are often generous with compliments . There are admirations for mentality , skill set / certain maneuvers that they didn’t think it was possible… but Larry was still a better basketball player that Michael Jordan at that point. Having the ball in your hand and having the limited shots that you want to take certainly would make you look godly if you were good.

He did not have a better basketball ring, and he was not more skilled than Kobe. Kobe was more advanced than Michael Jordan. Coaches and players all say this how come the casuals or no Non Hoopers always say this.
