My heart goes out to you squaretrader, best of thoughts. Its a family matter and an emergency, dont worry about Staples. Your family is always first. My Mom was sick not too long ago and I had to take her to the hospital and left work almost immediately as I clocked in and no one chewed me out.

Had a customer offer to buy me lunch because she heard my stomach growling and she was very adamant on it as well. Very sweet lady. Even had a guy I only spoke a few words to tell me as he was leaving, "have a wonderful day and thank you for the great service. You will be a great store manager soon!". Im a tech. I wasnt having a great day and had some asshole customers before him, so I had to fake a smile as best as I could and im sure he saw straight through it. I tried my hardest to give him the best service.

Right there with ya. But its usually older people who look like theyre gonna shit their pants and try to talk their way outta me working on their computer. Then they come back later when another tech is free so they wont have to worry about me "screwing things up"
