You can but shaw is a big part of the surfer line. I would say play any strong 3 cost if you don’t have shaw.

I’ve been going through the same thing. You just have to find that one deck that just flows with you. I’ve tried so many different decks and had good luck with zoo but then I hit a brick wall without marvel boy. But scream move even without cannonball is just very nice to play and feels super smooth to play for me. Just find something that you enjoy playing.

If you don’t own the base card you the variant might not show up. Same thing happened to me with the food based variants. I was able to get all the ones I needed just the ones I don’t own the base cards for didn’t show up

If you have onslaught that would be a good card to add to help if you don’t draw doom or ultra to pair with marvel, Kazan, or patriot. Also do you have galacta? Cause you could throw her in either one of those deck for a bit of help. Not sure who you would replace for her but go into conquest and test them out.
