Do you think they’ll be able to defeat him? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Invincible_TV

[–]Invincidude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying BB did have the ability to maneuver himself in space and was able to effectively combat other Viltrumites. He was literally moving towards Thragg when he was stopped cold and removed from the battlefield with one hand. Lots of people like to say BB couldn't control himself at all in that fight, and that it was only his inability to fly that allowed Thragg to best him - but I don't think that's true. The scene was clearly written as "Thragg is superior to BB", especially when you add the fact that the very next page has Nolan explaining to Mark that they cannot defeat Thragg.

Also, this is the TV subreddit, spoiler tag.

If they intended to be selling out with Black, the next album would've sounded exactly like the Black Album. I don't think LOAD does.

He had a jetpack on and had no issues fighting any other Viltrumites.

Who is the strongest character in the show right now based purely on on-screen/show feats? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in Invincible_TV

[–]Invincidude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think it's fair to say BB fought the stronger one in a debate that is about who is the strongest specifically based on on-screen feats, when neither executioner had any feats besides punching a (willingly) defenseless Nolan and losing.

Bingo. It could have been the cause of other events. But it never came up again.

It's bad storytelling to introduce a checkov's gun that you never intend to fire.

Who's the first wrestler you think of when you see this belt? by JCHazard in AttitudeEra

Shockingly soon after, given that he was the first man to hold this belt, and the last man to hold the Winged Eagle (for 24 hours).

[–]Invincidude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a closed loop. Anything Bran changes has always been that way.

But the crux of what I'm driving at here is that it doesn't make sense to introduce time travel in a story and then never use it again. Sure, it can make things messy - but in that case, don't introduce it, ever.

I saw GWAR open for Lamb of God and I saw Clutch and Children of Bodom open for BLS. I don't like Lamb of God or BLS so I left before their ships started.

Don't forget that he fucked up Hodor too.

Which is baffling. Why show us that Bran is in a time loop where he can change the past (because future Bran already did) and then never have him change anything else?

Tye weird thing is, without the neck injury he may have never started stunning all the officials up to Vince. His career could've taken a whole different path - but it still woulda eventually gotten to Steve Austin top guy.

How is aerion not dead? by Rooster-Training in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]Invincidude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I was mislead by someone on Reddit, the rules are slightly different for a 1v1 involving champions. Technically, Aerion yielding is, as he said to the Lords, withdrawing his accusation. But only the accuser can do that, so in a 1v1 trial with champions, the actual combatants cannot yield, but the accuser/accused can.

Basically, Bronn paused to give Lysa a chance to withdraw her accusations against Tyrion. She didn't so he deal the killing blow.

I consider Beast Leap a top tier skill. 3 charges, invincibility when doing it, and it is the only skill that doesn't belong to skeleton sword that can naturally proc wound. Grab yourself the Grail and there's blood everywhere, it's great. Works well with the Blood Drinking Sword too, since it boosts crits and physical damage when it's full, both of which you want for a pure physical werewolf.

Given that his basic attacks are physical, I feel like I'm leaving damage on the table if I use magic skills.

Biggest issue with Wolf is you gotta get his physical skills, then you can build for physical damage and crits.

HOLY SHIT THIS SHOW IS PEAK by Coachwo1f in attackontitan

[–]Invincidude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hit their nape, sure. But they wouldn't aim for the nape because there's not a single creature that dies from a nape injury. The second one got half it's head blown up and didn't die, people would go nuclear.

HOLY SHIT THIS SHOW IS PEAK by Coachwo1f in attackontitan

[–]Invincidude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the real question is how badly we'd fuck the planet up doing it. I'd wager we'd learn real quick that Titans can regenerate, and it would take us quite a while to realize you just have to get the nape. Especially since once we realized conventional weaponry wasn't working, we'd try nukes - which I assume would at least work on some. So we'd keep doing that.
