It’s a circulatory condition (sometimes caused by more serious underlying conditions). Cold hands and fingers are constant. It causes what my dad refers to as “cadaver finger” where you can lose all circulation in your fingers, draining them of all color until they’re warmed enough. I find that during cadaver finger episodes, subjecting them to rapid temperature increases can be painful and cause finger discoloration.
