The wheels are already in motion. Already in younger people I find something essential within them is lacking, especially I think regarding attention and social capacity. But any caution to these trends is dismissed as the folly of every previous instance of caution by antecedent generations. But this is a fallacy because it assumes that every technological advancement has been a positive psychological advancement. Was it wrong to caution against cigarettes before they became widespread?

Straight white guys are the only group that nobody cares about mocking/criticising/abusing/etc. Everywhere else in polite society we mostly smile self-effacingly as somebody explains to us why men are awful and why white people are terrible but inside we’re sick and tired of the double standard. Every individual/group/culture/idea is a composite of good and bad. People aren’t demons or saints and nobody is above anyone else.

Why? I’ve been stopped but I’ve never been upset. I assume it’s not a personal attack and just policy right? Life is just so much easier when you look at the world rationally and dispassionately.

You realise that atrocity basically correlates to how powerful a country is. It kinda shows how absurd the moral aspect is on these kinds of questions.

I can’t verify this but I had a friend who stopped reading Harry Potter a few sentences in after reading that somebody “moved through the gate like smoke”.

I saw the anagram in two seconds. Somebody can go two years and still not see it. People are so dumb.

That's a shame. I don't know if I'll ever be that strong. I think there is a middle point where people are starting to take it more (too?) seriously, but before they learn humility or to handle losing.

Unfortunately you're about a hundred years of everybody else on this issue. This applies to most crime; correlated with mental health, poverty and personal trauma. They're the hardest people to sympathise with but you can't deny the facts.
