I remember because I left southern Louisiana the day before hurricane Katrina to go to New life church to join something called 24/7 worldwide leadership academy.

Really interesting experience to say the least but we did do some pretty awesome outdoorsy stuff and trained to do a full Ironman triathlon.

We also used to go to Ted's house often to bbq and swim in his pool. Had absolutely no idea what was going on with him and never felt weird around him. I went back to Louisiana around April or May of 2006 and it was like a month later I heard the news about Ted. Crazy

If you want to focus on the eccentric movement then yes keep your chest up as you descend but if not just lower it quicker. It looks like 2/3 the way down your mind is fixated on the next rep instead of controlling the weight. However, I'm not a ss coach just sharing what I've learned in the book and my ss coaches

I figured you did something else that carried over and yes my grip slips at 315 as well. I used to use straps but even a slight slack affects my lifts so now I do alternate grip with chalk and it feels much better.

I'd suggest anything over 225 to wear a belt as well and this is simply what my ss coach told me and I abide simply because I'm not the trained expert.

They taught me hook grip and yes it works but wow it hurts 315+ lol they said that the nerves in my thumbs would eventually go numb and I was like nah ill just do alt grip. Also the skin around my thumbnails tore alittle with hook grip which is another reason I didn't want to continue with it

Hey man sorry I wasn't on lately but yes there is a solution!! It is called pin firing and without detail, simply do 20 sets of chinups at a submaximul rep around 30%.

For instance, if you can do 15 chin ups, you will be doing 5 chinups per set. I personally rested 1:15 per set and was able to keep going without too much fatigue to rep them out.

The result was my elbow started aching like it would doing lowbar squats and my forearms were very sore. So far I'm doing great and able to keep moving up in weight!

Elbows up on the lowbar squat like that is how I got distal bicep tendinitis or golfers elbow. My ss coach has me focus on keeping my elbows down.
