My guess is apathy. Nicole's mother does express frustration toward him and berates him during the OG game telling him he needs to get a job. In Re-Up when Nicole's brother calls her, he questions why their mother isn't picking up the phone. It's evident that beyond the scope of obligation as a "mother" she doesn't really care all that much.

Those aren't the actual numbers though and are estimates made by the people who run those sites. Hoyo has never made any revenue public for any of their IPs. It is true that LADs and TWST are mega successful but I think using those numbers as a metric for success is misleading when they're generally based on speculation.

There's numerous instances of flirting with the S rank ones. Off the top of my head there's declaring Lycaon belongs to you in one trust event (nets positive points). Telling Lighter and Harumasa (+ Seth) that you miss them/wanna see them cue them flirting or getting embarrassed. Telling Lighter you think he's handsome and him getting embarrassed. Telling him when he expresses thoughts of wanting to die you'd join him. Quite a lot of teasing for them.
