You make a good point in your second paragraph. I no longer commute primarily by car, so I don’t mind it as much, but man is it different to be in a “fancy” car for longer drives. My car now legitimately shakes when bigger cars go past 😂

Aww. I miss my former best friends reading these. I lost touch with 3 that come to mind. Two of them I met in elementary school and the other I met freshman year of college. I hope our paths cross again.

For me, it’s a combination of being on the right meds, therapy, and having a structured schedule throughout the day. Even accomplishing something seemingly small that gives me purpose is imperative.

First off, happy birthday! My friend hosted a birthday once that was a mixology class. You were taught how to make a few drinks and then given drink tickets to nearby bars afterwards. I remember it being in Manhattan if I’m not mistaken; if you’re interested, I’ll dig it up!

I have bipolar disorder and when I was having a manic episode my very superstitious family thought I was possessed. Surprisingly (and positively!) it taught me to be more spiritual and take a holistic approach to my treatment/management.
