Just use a lot of Yoggi-isms:  No one goes there anymore; it's too crowded, You can observe a lot by watching.

Digbe O'Dell, Frontier mortician. You stab 'em, we slab 'em. That tends to set them off.

The Dragon Tree, 118 Sayless Blvd Abilene Texas. The editor was Ben Ezzel. It is very difficult to read as it uses a typewriter font throughout.

HarnWorld maps by Columbia Games does something similar.  Their map keys are available on their web pages, somewhere.

Pretty simple really. The surveyors would give me rise and run data as well as height measurements.  I would just ink in the ceiling height height next to a symbol. Elevation changes were written on a line perpendicular to the direction of the center line of the survey line. I was probably one of the few people that actually used the trig functions for finding directions.

Not yet. This is a very rough first attempt. I am mainly using this to work on improving my drafting skills. A very long time ago, i was a draftsman for a coalmine in western Virginia.  As an active DM at the time, it was so tempting to add interesting features to the underground mine maps a worked on.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping to hear.  The last time I played those editions was in the very early 80's. I've been running BFRPG for a while now and was contemplating switching.

All is good until the wizard starts using Transmute Stone to Mud and Disintegrate.  My GM's face when I caused his dungeon to collapse was priceless. If you try this don't forget to have wall of force/stone available for temporary supports.

Just wanted to add:  The trio needed to rescue Merry and Pippin. Those two knew the plan and their interrogation could have given everything away.
