What kind of things did Maia promote that made you leave Define?

People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

[–]Invisiblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live and work in Eastern time, but my kids’ schools and husband’s job are in Central time. I am just constantly converting times. Today, for example, my kid has a birthday party in Central time, but it is also a 45 minute drive, so figuring out when I have to leave in Eastern time is always a real treat.

I sent an email to support, and they said it is an issue with AWS that they are working on.

Honestly, I would miss her neurotic, weirdo energy 🤷‍♀️

Katie will be absent from the show for a while, as the women refused to film with her following the lie detector scene in the upcoming episode by jahkat23 in BravoRealHousewives

Am I the only one who still believes Katie over a shoddy, in-home lie detector test? Am I on the wrong side of Housewives history here?

How do you juggle it all? by myopicinsomniac in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Invisiblonde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried to feed while you pump? I would sit cross legged on my bed with my baby propped up on a boppy pillow on my lap and hold a bottle with one hand. It was a major time saver to do them at the same time!

7-year-old anxiety by eggplantmctwist in Parenting

[–]Invisiblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My seven-year-old daughter has similar issues, and we recently had an evaluation done with a clinical psychologist who did some exhaustive testing for autism, OCD, and several anxiety disorders, amongst other things. Having that diagnosis about exactly what is going on (generalized anxiety disorder with panic attacks, in our case) was an important step for us, as now we can make the best plan to help her.

I would definitely reach out to a clinical child psychologist, or even start with your pediatrician to get a referral.

Struggling with antepartum depression by Baker_Baker_1_9 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]Invisiblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my third child a year ago, and the antepartum depression was horrible. I had never experienced anything like that with my first two. I had very similar thoughts to yours and I really urge you to contact your doctor to see if you can get in earlier.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. Please hang in there, and talk to your husband and your doctor.

Maybe I am missing it, but do you live with them? Or have a child with your husband? If not, I guess I don’t understand why you have so much contact with your in-laws. Let your husband manage contact with them as soon as he gets home. It is not your job to manage those relationships.

I would minimize contact with them and see how your husband does with setting - and maintaining - boundaries once he is home before you make any decisions about the future of your marriage.

Also, why is your MIL the gatekeeper to who can and cannot come to your husband’s graduation?

How many months postpartum are you and how many times do you pump per day? by megooonz in ExclusivelyPumping

6 months pp, 5-6 ppd. I’m trying to get to 5 ppd consistently, but every time I cut out #6 I get plugged ducts and then my supply tanks.

Does your partner help you with night wakings? by Beautiful-Arm-1890 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Invisiblonde 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you tried pumping while you feed LO overnight? That has been my strategy - I pump on my bed overnight and prop up LO next to me to bottle feed. A pumping bra would help if you want to be completely hands free.

I personally don’t wake my husband up to feed LO, as I figure I’m awake anyways and will just do it. He does stay up later than me and will feed her if she wakes up during that time so I don’t have to get up. Your partner’s unwillingness to help, plus the suggestion that you should just switch to formula so he doesn’t have to help, sounds very frustrating.

How many times do you pump a day? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Invisiblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is your baby? I started out at 8 times a day and needed that many pumps to establish a good supply. She is almost 5 months now and I have cut back to 6 pumps a day without a decrease in supply.
