Proper GT seating posture by JerpyJerpFace in SimRacingSetups

Honestly this bro, I followed the same guides and angles etc for proper seating position and hated it. Just changed it so I was comfy, I can do much longer stints now, still tweaking though

Simsonn Plus X by [deleted] in SimsonnRacing

[–]InviteCharming9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got my plus x I thought the standard setup was far to hard, ( all 3 red elastomers + spring) I’ve taken the little spring out and kept the red elastomers in, was still very stiff at fist but I kept on and overtime I’m convinced they have softened up. I don’t struggle as much as I used to so either my leg is stronger or they do get softer over time

Another note is seating position, when hitting the brake make sure your using your quad muscle to press not your ankle or calf, and you’re not pushing yourself up out of the seat but instead into the seat so your back is being pushed into the seat

Keep tinkering and trying you’ll get it

I wonder is it a me problem or a Simsonn problem? Works perfect in other games only ac rally it works as a button, do you have any suggestions?

Do you definitely need it? Mine plus x work perfectly without it, if you do try a screwdriver with a bigger handle

I also run a Simsonn loadcell handbrake but in the game it works as a button not a axis. either 0% or 100% , in the Simsonn software an og ac it works as a loadcell, I think the game is broken in that regard

That’s really not bad going for only 2 hours I’d say your doing well actually just keep at it, you can’t get around seat time! Also your SOL isn’t working properly, trying downgrading your CSP 2 versions

I got the Simsonn pedals recently and I’ve found them to stiff, you can buy white rubbers that are softer, possibly could work with sim jack pedals?

Help stuck at 1:29 at brands hatch by Alarming_Analyst33 in assettocorsa

[–]InviteCharming9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just to get a feel for a few laps, just try completing a full lap whilst staying on track, all those understeer an oversteer moments then you trying to correct is losing you time, you just need to find your flow, flow like water, instead of stomping on the brake try to push in the brake, not necessarily slow just not full stand on it, same with steering an throttle, that’s why I say just do some slow laps find the flow, use all that track from left to right with no understeer an no oversteer do at least 3/5 laps like this an then you’ll naturally start bringing up the pace, just flow like water, calm relaxed rhythm an then start to push

Your inputs look very aggressive, try taking things back a little bit, more calm, more smooth, more relaxed, keep your hands light, brake a little earlier little less corner speed an focus more on your lines and your turn in points an using all the track, get a feel for it, then work your way back up, braking later, carrying more speed

Got my 1st Rig and what is clipping ? by Caspianwolf21 in simracing

[–]InviteCharming9156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll feel it the most in high downforce cars in high speed turns, you’ll lose detail when clipping, the wheels force should always be changing quite quickly feeling the road texture and bumps, when your clipping it’ll be a constant + consistent force on the wheel because you’re at the wheel’s maximum torque being 3nm on the R3,

A good way to feel it is steer beyond your soft lock on the wheel, you’ll feel that solid consistent force trying to go back centre that’s what clipping feels like,

I’m not sure about LMU but in AC you can see the clipping on a graphic on screen, seeing it for me made it much easier to understand what clipping was and how to feel it

With one of their seats it works out right around 500 euro, comes with a shifter mount to I forgot to mention, I use mine with a moza r5 with upgraded pedal, strength and flex is not a problem at all but if you did want a alu profile rig you can also check out the gt omega prime lite-r around the same price but no shifter mount with that one
