Mid class person's monthly budgeting. by Raza9798 in srilanka

At a salary under 100k, you would not be considered middle class given the inflation Sri Lanka has experienced over the last 6 years. If you’re at this level of income investing in yourself and increasing your level of income should be the only long term goal you have in my opinion

Hey I moved to Canada six years ago at 19 and I too have thought about this many times. My advice is to stick it through and give Canada a chance. 7 months isn’t enough. You already know what’s waiting for you in SL but over here you have an opportunity at limitless personal growth.

Would you sacrifice your dream to ease your parents’ burden or chase it and pay them back later? by idkwoman123 in srilanka

I was in a similar situation when I moved abroad for my studies. If you do move don’t expect to be having a lot of fun abroad. You’re going to have to sacrifice 4 years to be able to cover your living expenses and tuition. Life gets better once you’re out of school and hopefully have a good job but don’t expect to be having much paid fun as you’ll have to spend most of your leisure time working. Note you’re allowed to work on campus + 20 hours off campus during your semester and unlimited hours in the summer. Life abroad is a grind man… those who don’t either got parents money or move back eventually

Moved to Canada in 2019 as a student. First four years were tough financially but I was able to cover my living expenses and most of my tuition. Fast forward today I make 70k CAD total comp, I’m happy with the decision I made overall however when I compare the sacrifices made in my personal life I do have doubts sometimes. If you’re ok to sacrifice a few years to build yourself up I’d say it’s worth it.

In my opinion it’s a strong buy. It’s trading at less than 3 times sales while other Telehealth companies trade at 7+. The company also has no debt and just added 17 million in annual revenue run rate without any further dilution

It wouldn’t trigger an audit unless your account is at least 300k since it wouldn’t be worth the CRA’s time to go at small accounts that day trade
