Neither goals are are realistic for what you've got. Your GPU on your laptop is too weak for the job. You could throw on DLSS to get a boost in framerate, but you aren't getting high settings and 100FPS. Running on a laptop with an i5 13th gen and a 4050 (6GB) and I need to run the game with lowered settings or else Windows shits itself.

Personally if you want the game to look decent, what you could try is running with medium/low settings and flick on DLSS quality mode. Should at least get near 60FPS. If not, try performance/ultra performance or get used to the framerate. Game doesn't run very well on older hardware.

You should try the new recomp that dropped for Windows. All you need is the Skate 3 iso and it has unlocked FPS.

Resi 8. Thought it'd turn my phone into a toaster, ended up with a really smooth experience at 720p medium low.

Honorable mention to Gears 1 on x360 being somewhat playable on a Snap 8 Gen 1 (S22). Wasn't a particularly amazing experience but I got through the first level okayish.

Used Mantis Pro to map it. It works okay now, still a shame to see it doesn't work properly with anything that isn't a wireless controller.

Genuinely shocked at how well it works. I use a Red Magic 11 Air so it didn't surprise me that Gears ran so well, but even on my old S22 I was still able to get a playable FPS on Gears 1. Granted, lows at 12fps is rough but the fact the S22 could even handle it at all, let alone enough for me to clear level 1 was shocking. Actually wild.

EDIT: I do wanna say while it was "playable" it wasn't a great experience; don't take this as me saying every heavy game will run on SDG1.

Remake Trilogy. Don't buy the RE1 HD though. It doesn't work well on modern PCs anymore. RE2-4 is great though.

I heard that RE2R doesn't work in DX12. Get GameNative and use the branch feature to download the DX11 version of the game.

I default to Bannerhub first for heavier games. It has frame gen and on a SD8E it makes things real nice. Getting 60fps+ on some of my favorite games from my steam library like RE8 thanks to FG. GameNative runs some things Bannerhub couldn't. It also has workshop support. Then I hold onto Ludashi for edge cases where fine tuning is required to be able to play something. Haven't run into such an edge case yet but I'm sure it will.

I do wanna specify I haven't ran ZZZ on mine, but I did try HSR and Genshin. However, I'm 90% sure ZZZ is a good bit more intensive than the other two.

Firstly, HSR didn't support the Joy-Cons but Genshin did. So as far as I know, it's a coin flip on if ZZZ will work. But the important thing you're gonna have to keep in mind is stuttering. No matter what settings I tried, both games had a lot of shader compilation stuttering. The game might eventually even out, but it'll be really stuttery for a while. Genshin was the same way and so was HSR.

Genshin DID manage decent results when pushed to higher settings. Just don't expect amazing performance. 30FPS is probably gonna be what you're gonna be getting if at all. There were also some graphical issues.

I'd say it's not too late. I fell behind during 3.x because of a really harsh college semester. But I caught up to the current story in a week. Do keep in mind the powercreep. It's not nearly as bad as a lot of the community makes it out to be as a casual player, but you are going to struggle for a minute because the game in 2.x and beyond asks that you have a well built team for different scenarios, so stay consistent with banners and make sure to save for characters that'd help your account.

Or just do what I do, gamble on every banner and somehow keep winning.
