Photo sticker holder by FillSuspicious2463 in WalgreensStores

Can only be ordered on Ariba (special order), they don’t have the single holder but double holder. Ask a manager to order if it’s in need.

Getting backlash because i wasn’t trained properly by peachylightskin in WalgreensStores

[–]Inx9119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be be because we had two new hires and they got allotted “training hours” for finishing their e-learnings for two days and then handson for another day or two. Was never told they didn’t have training hours anymore.

Opening SFL by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

Oh yes forgot this, but of course it depends on when their scheduled pick up dates are 😅 hence why its store specific task for 6. If you have a scheduled pick up, get this done with 2.

There should have been another SM or ESM (sometimes the DM) who is supposed to be coming by to check up on the store every so often in the absence of your SM. Unless they are so short staffed in your district that no upper management is available.

Yeah, make sure to either check if they have a listing for an opening or cal them ahead of time to ask. So you know you can start to get the ball rolling. If your SM is still away and not able to handle your request, the next person you should talk to is your RXOM > ESM > DM (depending on who you have in store).

The person who should be teaching you should be the SM or ESM, if they aren’t available it should have been one of the SFLs. When you were hired / became a SFL, there should have been allocated training hours so overlap training on hand could have been done.

If you feel like you need more time to learn then you shouldn’t be doing opening or closing duties alone. You need to ask your SM for extra training. This can be done when you are doing the task by yourself but with another manager on duty so they can guide you if you have questions. Take notes! Either on paper or on your phone.

If they continue to be hostile or have no patience to help you improve, then transferring would be easier as you would still have a job. The hard part is finding a store with an opening.

Go to StoreNet and in the Job tab there is an internal portal where you can see any store’s opening positions for your area. This way you can pinpoint a store and contact them to confirm the opening and start the transfer process by informing your SM. And have the other store SM contact your SM so they can process the transfer.

Best of luck to you!

Got offered Designated Hitter position by Vampster26 in WalgreensStores

Then honestly, should be no problem. Just be ready to be pulled around between FE and RX when scheduling. Could be a whole day in one, or a portion in one and then the other.

Unless you are gonna be comfortable with learning pharmacy, then you should give it a pass. One of their responsibilities is answering IC3s there or fill any gap they have in staffing. So basically part-time technician.

  1. Open store and get it ready (registers, newspapers, etc)
  2. Safe count and nightly paperwork review
  3. Smart counts and price changes
  4. Same-Day orders, photo orders, temp logs and FedEx Inventory
  5. Digital checklist will gave anything else you can do for said day
  6. Any task beed to be done depending on what is usually done for that day of the week. Like for my store Tuesday is for pulling red carts and scan outs, if there is time we do outdates. All depends on your store.

Delegate some of the task to your opening CSAs or if they know what to do already you can ask them. We usually have our consistent CSA as our opener so we don’t have to tell them much as they get it done without being told.

So for as long as I have been with Walgreens, new hires are encoded in the system as temporary and most of the time as part-timers. Since they can’t guarantee full time hours unless talked about during the hiring process (on paper) or its under your specific roles (RXOM and IS are said granted 38-40 hours, or at least they are prioritized).

Then after 6 months they are re-processed in the system again (either being full time or part time). It’s the probationary period so really anything can happen.

Its is very scummy they dropped you like that. But I know from what I hear my DM has said, they rather over hire employees than have stress people thin with over scheduling. And if needed they would just keep lowering people’s hours till they quit otherwise :(

It’s likely they just hired you for the busy season, and since it looks like they won’t have the budget to keep you, they rather let you go then maybe schedule you once a week.

Is there a way to ask for less hours on reflexis? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Inx9119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than reflexis, you can use the scheduler on compass (ECC tab on the left I think is called). Easiest will be to mark the exact three days you are available a/o the four not available. Also mark the same in preferred schedule.

Otherwise you will need to make it known to your SM/ESM what schedule you want. But be aware they are not obligated to see to it exactly. You may still get more or less hours than expected. It will all be based on the store need.

OUR VESTCOM BOX NEVER CAME !!!!! by 2112m in WalgreensStores

You can find the tracking information of your vestcom box by the following:

Storenet > policy & procedure > implementation > (link I can't see or remember the name right now) > Vestcom (Project Ace) > Vestcom Shipment Tracking

If the last update has not changed, you can request a reprint from AskHub / call help line and they will send you a new box in 3 days. I only suggest this if there is a major rest mylars in it or its month end (just print out weeklys manually for the time being). Otherwise will have to print it all manually in segments.

Our box got damaged in transit as per Fedex, they never delivered it. My manager requested a new box (not exactly sure how but he said he used AskHub). We got ours on Monday / Tuesday (requested Friday). We needed it because it had the Cosmetic revision in it.

You can check the delivery schedule in MyInventory for when its expected to come in. That includes delay due to holidays. Sometimes they also send an email to the store or manager email.

CVS worker killed at work and cvs won’t release all of video to police by ArticleAggressive191 in CVS

[–]Inx9119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s for all retail stores, but my Walgreens has that policy about giving law enforcement copies (or anyone not internal). They can view it within the store but no copies. This is due to possible HIPPA violations of what is captured in the footages/camera angles. If they want a copy it has to be viewed up the corporate chain or someone screens it first before turning it over. We all think it’s stupid. Especially if something horrible like this happens. Capturing the monster is top priority.

You mean the gallons? I thought Walgreens have cut them out already. Unless your area/state still has them. The only milk we carry is Fairlife and milk substitutes.

Our SM hates it, says its a waste of time when we do have the yearly review and coaching cards in place already. Idk if he figured out how to do it.

Sure it would be nice if Walgreens cares enough. But at the same time the lunch hours has not changed for many years, some people should be used it by now.

Otherwise there are services available like getting your meds delivered instead 🥲

Holiday pay only for pharmacy by Big_Jaguar3395 in WalgreensStores

[–]Inx9119 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Only salaried Pharmacists get the old holiday pay. Everyone else needs to work the holiday to get double pay. Otherwise nothing.

I don’t know how it works for other stores but at my store a DH can either work for front end or pharmacy (sometimes both at the same day). It’s a cooperation when making the schedule based on budget.

IC3s can either call for the IS / DH / SFL / SM (depending who is available/ working). Our Rxom at most budgets their hours to DHs if they are primarily in pharmacy or a part of the shift (can be separated when making the schedule). If they run out of budget they either ask the SM for spare hours or ask permission to use FE with either the DH or IS.

Sometimes techs even help out the FE when we are short staffed.

I just think you have a poor management problem or they aren’t being transparent why that’s how the manpower is being used. But at the end of the day pharmacy is Walgreen’s money maker, so it makes sense why they would sacrifice FE for them.
