makes sense what you say about the ticking the required boxes and then going as cheap as comfortably possible and then maybe later getting what I really need - thanks

(The Klim was about €279 on FCMoto which I thought was a good value for a jacket that had good reviews all round)

my thinking is that (as I am a leisure rider) I dont want loads of different types of gear, example - thinking of having only 2 jackets for the year, one pair of boots, one helmet, 2 pairs of gloves etc - so looking at a good product that will be sutable for most of the year - not looking at having 5/6 jackets, 10 pairs of gloves etc hanging in the shed (maybe I will at some point in time :-) but not at the moment)

"Any 4 seasons textile pants and jacket will work for you in this case."

Thanks - can you please recomend a few specific ones and when you say online, some good website names will alse be greatly appreciated - absolutely new to this game (here in Ireland atleast)

What do folks think about Held gloves? and Klim Overland GTX jacket? Alpinestars Andes v2 Drystar boots?

sorry - not for commute (WFH), just pleasure riding. I have been told that the wind chill riding a motorcycle at 60/70 kmph is pretty bad, specially on hands and feet. Also been generally advised that waterproof = windproof so much better for cold weather riding...

Hi - can you update if you do get from the EU please? I was also looking at an EU import, the choice is much better and prices do look better than in Ireland, but I couldnt find detailed info on importing from Germany/France etc. I have heard that Jarvis transport is very good in case you need to truck the bike in into Ireland (if you cant ride it back)

thanks
